  • Patent number: 7635234
Abstract: A coupling element for connecting a housing or a support arm system element with a support arm. The coupling element has a hollow cylinder-shaped receiving element fixed in place on the housing or the support arm system element for receiving and fixing in place the support arm in the axial direction. So that the coupling element can meet the requirements made on its employment in the field connected with health, the receiving element is covered by a cup-shaped cover which has a central through-opening for passing the support arm through and which has an edge area circumferentially supported on the receiving element. The through-opening is sealed against the exterior circumferential face of the support arm, and the edge area of the cover is sealed against the receiving element.
