  • Patent number: 11807369
Abstract: A heated leading edge structure for an aircraft, including a leading edge panel having an outer surface configured to be contacted by an ambient flow, and an inner surface opposite the outer surface, and including a heater device mounted to the inner surface of the leading edge panel for heating of the leading edge panel. The heater device is mounted to the inner surface of the leading edge panel in a detachable manner to provide a simple, lightweight and cost-efficient leading edge structure that enables a simple, quick and efficient maintenance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 21, 2022
Date of Patent: November 7, 2023
    Assignee: Airbus Operations GmbH
Inventors: Bernhard Schlipf, Alexander Huber, Timo Stöven
  • Patent number: 11597163
Abstract: A method for connecting two components. In this method, a first component and a second component, which are each formed from a thermoplastic material, are first provided. The first component has a first peel-off ply on a first surface of the first component. The first peel-off ply is removed from the first component. Once the first peel-off ply has been removed, the first surface of the first component is brought into contact with a second surface of the second component. The first component and the second component are then welded to one another at the first and second surface by ultrasonic welding.

  • Patent number: 8715553
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a device for treating a surface of a fiber composite material which contains fibers of a specific hardness, the surface of the fiber composite material being removed abrasively by an abrasion means, the hardness of which is less than the hardness of the fibers contained in the fiber composite material and is greater than the hardness of a plastics material in which the fibers of the fiber composite material are embedded.

  • Patent number: 7922853
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a component for connecting a fuselage cell skin to an annular rib of an aircraft, wherein the component is formed by bending of a flat blank along at last two edge lines and wherein the blank is formed by a CFRP. According to the invention the interlaminar sliding of the fiber layers is largely completed in a first forming step, while in a second forming step a consolidation of the component takes place by the use of pressure from the press on all sides by means of an upper tool and a lower tool. This enables complex components with at least two edge lines to be produced, which edge lines run at angles of approximately, preferably at angles of 309° to 90°, to each other, and which edge lines also lie in at least two different planes.
