Abstract: A fuser assembly for an electrostatographic reproduction apparatus, the fuser assembly including a fuser member and a pressure member in operative association to apply heat and pressure to a marking particle image carried by a receiver member to fix such image to the receiver member as the receiver member passes through the fuser member and pressure member, and an oiler system for the fuser assembly. The oiler system includes an applicator for laying down a release oil on at least the fuser member, and a logic and control unit for selectively activating the applicator to lay down release oil in a predetermined amount based on known characteristics of the receiver member and the content of the marking particle image thereon.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for manual replacement of a roller (1) of a copying machine, the roller being equipped with carrying means, in which it can turn freely around its center axis (X1), and the machine (F) on the one hand having rollers (1; 2) in a roller pair arrangement for routing through and delivering a recording medium (S) in the form of a sheet or strip, which rollers can be operated in rotation in an adjoining, axially parallel arrangement in the bearing points (L1; L2; L3; L4) of the machine, and are supported by their axial ends, and on the other hand there being manually activated means for releasing/fixing the rollers in their bearing points and for separating/compressing (3) the rollers in the radial direction for purposes of removing them from and inserting them into their bearing points.

Abstract: Mechanism for swiveling, locking/unlocking and separating/pressing a first and second housing part, which are connected by means of a swivel axis, of which one housing part can be swiveled. Such mechanism has a common operating unit in the area of the free end of the housing opposite the swivel axis, in such a way that locking/unlocking, swiveling, and separating/pressing the first housing part is carried out together and with one hand by means of the operating unit in a single motion.

Abstract: A device for stapling sheets comprises a collecting tray (1) which is downwardly inclined to the direction of entrance "A" of sheets and has a support surface (2) and a pivotable abutment (3) associated with the front portion of the sheets. Between abutment (3) and support surface (2), a free space (6) is provided in which a stapling unit (10, 15) is movable for setting to a number of different stapling positions. The free space (6) is covered by a cover (9) in an area where no staples are to be applied. A tongue (7a) of a hold-down element (7) rests on the cover (9). Tongue (7a) and cover (9) extend into a recess (3a) of the abutment (3), with an upper limiter (3b) of recess (3a) being arranged above tongue (7a) and serving as an abutment for a limited pivotal movement of hold-down element (7, 7a).
