  • Publication number: 20170188832
Abstract: A unit, assembly and device suitable for a medical localization device suitable for localizing a region in a body with a distal hollow needle includes a tube extending from a proximal first end to a distal second end. The first end is designed to be in communication with a fluid filled container. The unit includes a first part of sensor means. The first part is a sensor interface, in which the sensor interface is provided to the tube between the first end and the second end. The sensor interface is suitable for observation of the pressure in a fluid in the tube that is in communication with the fluid in the container. The unit includes a closing device distally with respect to the sensor interface for varying the pressure in the fluid in the tube, in which the sensor interface is a membrane.

  • Publication number: 20120022407
Abstract: A device for locating a structure (15) inside a body (10) includes a hollow needle (20), a liquid-filled reservoir (31) which is sealingly closed off at one end by means of a displaceable piston (32) and at the other end is in communication with the hollow needle; a sensor (40) for providing a pressure-measurement signal which is representative of the pressure prevailing in the liquid; a converter (50) for converting the pressure-measurement signal provided by the sensor into a converted signal suitable for further processing; and a display device (90) designed to emit at least one visual display signal which is a function of the converted signal. The device further includes a frame (200, 300) which can be worn on the head by a user and can be fixed on the head of the user, the visual display signal being in each case displayed in the range of vision of the user who is wearing the unit on his or her head in every position of the head of the user.

  • Patent number: 7922689
Abstract: A device (1) is designed for locating a region which is situated in a body (10). The device has a fluid-filled reservoir (30) which is closed off in a sealed manner by a displaceable plunger (32) and is connected to a hollow puncture needle (20). To measure the pressure prevailing in the fluid, the device has a pressure gauge (40). A signal converter (50) is used to convert a continuous pressure-measurement signal provided by the pressure gauge (40) into a form which is suitable for further processing. A synthesizer (60) is designed to process the converted pressure-measurement signal into a continuous sound signal which is representative of the pressure. If, during a displacement of the puncture needle (20), a needle point (21) reaches the anatomical cavity (15), the result is a readily perceptible change in the sound signal. The device records the pressure-measurement signal over the course of time.
