  • Publication number: 20220220060
Abstract: A Ziegler-Natta catalyst composition is disclosed. The catalyst composition is formed from a procatalyst containing a magnesium moiety and a titanium moiety. At least one internal electron donor is incorporated into the procatalyst. During a titanation procedure in conjunction with the internal electron donor, a titanium extractant is used to remove or deactivate low activity or atactic titanium active sites.

  • Patent number: 11014995
Abstract: A phthalate-free procatalyst composition is disclosed for olefin polymerization that exhibits excellent polymerization activity and response to hydrogen, and can produce a polyolefin exhibiting high stereoregularity, high melt flow rate, and desirable molecular weight distribution. The method for producing the procatalyst composition includes reaction of a magnesium support precursor with a tetravalent titanium halide and a combination of different internal electron donors. The first internal electron donor may comprise one or more substituted phenylene aromatic diester and the second internal electron donor may comprise a polyether, preferably a 1,3-diether. In one embodiment, the support precursor comprises a spherical spray crystalized MgCl2-EtOH adduct.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 25, 2021
    Assignee: W.R. Grace & Co.—Conn.

  • Patent number: 8309749
Abstract: Processes for preparing aluminoxane comprising: bringing into contact under reaction conditions in an inert atmosphere a liquid containing reaction mixture comprising: (i) a water in oil emulsion comprising water and at least one emulsifier in a first hydrocarbon solvent; and (ii) an organoaluminum compound capable of forming aluminoxane in a second hydrocarbon solvent; provided that the aluminoxane produced by the reaction is present in solution under the reaction conditions. In a preferred embodiment a support carrier for the aluminoxane: (i) is present during the contact step or (ii) is introduced following contact. A polymerization catalyst can be prepared wherein the support carrier is SiO2 and a Group 3 to Group 10 metal containing single site complex is mixed with the aluminoxane. Catalysts suitable for polymerizing an olefin such as ethylene or copolymerizing an olefin with at least one C3 to C20 alpha-olefin can be produced.

  • Publication number: 20080059252
Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for the equitable and efficient allocation of residences and properties. In accordance with the invention, individuals seeking to reserve high demand properties can first view and select properties and submit a reservation request. The reservation request may include a group of properties by name, preferred reservation dates, as well as a ranking of the individual's highest through lowest property preference.

  • Patent number: 5054434
Abstract: The accumulation of gaseous ammonia in areas wherein animals are housed or maintained is controlled by providing to the areas animal litter, bedding, or other absorbent material which contain a low molecular weight, non-volatile organic acid. Acids such as citric, malic, fumaric, phosphoric, tartaric, maleic, malonic, succinic, sorbic and mixtures of these acids are used and especially phosphoric and fumaric. These acids can be used in concentrations of about 0.0001 to 2 wt % of the dry bedding.
