  • Patent number: 11349486
Abstract: Clock circuits, components, systems and signal processing methods enabling digital communication are described. A phase locked loop device derives an output signal locked to a first reference clock signal in a feedback loop. A common phase detector is employed to obtain phase differences between a copy of the output signal and a second reference clock signal. The phase differences are employed in an integral phase control loop within the feedback loop to lock the phase locked loop device to the center frequency of the second reference signal. The phase differences are also employed in a proportional phase control loop within the feedback loop to reduce the effect of imperfect component operation. Cascading the integral and proportional phase control within the feedback loop enables an amount of phase error to be filtered out from the output signal.

  • Patent number: 11340264
Abstract: Techniques for identifying electrical theft are described herein. In an example, a secondary voltage of a transformer may be inferred by repeated voltage and current measurement at each meter associated with the transformer. A difference in measured voltage values, divided by a difference in measured current values, estimates impedance at the meter. The calculated impedance, together with measured voltage and current values, determine a voltage at the transformer secondary. Such voltages calculated by each meter associated with a transformer may be averaged, to indicate the transformer secondary voltage. A transformer having lower-than-expected secondary voltage is identified, based in part on comparison to the secondary voltages of other transformers. Each meter associated with the identified transformer may be evaluated to determine if the unexpected voltage is due to a load on the transformer. If a load did not result in the unexpected secondary voltage, power diversion may be reported.

  • Patent number: 11343139
Abstract: A device provisioning service provisions a network-connected device to access one or more service systems using a supplemental cryptographic identity of the network-connected device. An initial enrollment record (associated with an initial cryptographic identity) and a supplemental enrollment record are stored in a device provisioning service. An identity issuance request is received from the network-connected device at the device provisioning service. The identity issuance request includes the initial cryptographic identity. The supplemental cryptographic identity is requested from a supplemental cryptographic identity issuer identified in the initial enrollment record based on the identity issuance request. The requested supplemental cryptographic identity is received at the device provisioning service from the supplemental cryptographic identity issuer. The network-connected device is provisioned to access the one or more service systems according to the supplemental enrollment record.

  • Publication number: 20220159609
Abstract: First information corresponding to a radio signal received at a first sensing device from a candidate location is obtained. Second information corresponding to a radio signal received at a second sensing device from the candidate location is obtained. A first relationship between the first sensing device and the candidate location and a second relationship between the second sensing device and the candidate location are determined. A first inverse and a second inverse of respectively the first and second relationships are obtained. A first estimate of the radio signal at the first sensing device is determined from the first information and the first inverse. A second estimate of the radio signal at the second sensing device is determined from the second information and the second inverse. Energy emitted from the candidate location is measured based on the first estimate and the second estimate.

  • Patent number: RE49060
Abstract: A wireless communication system and method employing channel transport format allocation in a shared uplink channel between a UE and a Node B, and wherein the UE can determine a transport format combination which it can support, by: detecting in the UE a change in transport format combination that the UE can support; and sending to the Node B an indication of transport format combination that the UE can support, whereby efficiency of channel transport format allocation in the system may be improved. A conditional delay mechanism may be employed to reduce signalling overhead. This allows uplink shared channels to be efficiently used by providing a means by which UTRAN (UMTS terrestrial radio access network) is informed of the TFCs within the TFCS which can be used in the uplink by the UE.
