Patent number: 12171907Abstract: A method of making infused bone fibers employs the following steps: cutting or shaving whole bone into bone fibers, washing the bone fibers, demineralizing or decalcifying at least partially the whole bone or bone fibers and infusing the bone fibers with a supernatant of biologic material or a polyampholyte cryoprotectant or a combination of both to create infused bone fibers. The step of infusing includes exposing the bone fibers to a negative pressure or vacuum to draw the supernatant and/or the polyampholyte cryoprotectant into the bone fibers, or alternatively, exposing the demineralized whole bone to a positive pressure to drive the supernatant and/or the polyampholyte cryoprotectant into the bone. The resultant method creates an infused bone grafting composition having bone fibers taken from whole bone, demineralized or decalcified at least partially and infused with one or more of a supernatant of biologic material or a polyampholyte cryoprotectant or both.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2021Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: VIVEX BIOLOGICS GROUP, INC.Inventors: Timothy Ganey, Tracy Scott Anderson, Harry Thomas Temple

Publication number: 20240417248Abstract: A volume of a reaction chamber is increased to draw a feedstock into the reaction chamber. An energy fluid is flowed into the reaction chamber to mix with the feedstock. As a result of the mixing of the energy fluid with the feedstock, energy is transferred from the energy fluid to the feedstock and causes the feedstock to decompose and form one or more reaction products. The volume of the reaction chamber is decreased to expel the one or more reaction products from the reaction chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2024Publication date: December 19, 2024Inventor: Timothy Scott Coleman
