  • Patent number: 11947511
Abstract: Indexing a data corpus to a set of multidimensional points, including: generating a set of points in a multidimensional space; identifying, for each sample in a plurality of samples in a data corpus, a nearest point in the set of points; and generating an index mapping each sample with the nearest point in the set of points.

  • Patent number: 8048369
Abstract: A cobalt-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy useful in surgical implant applications includes, in weight percent based on total alloy weight, at least 20 cobalt, 33.0 to 37.0 nickel, 19.0 to 21.0 chromium, 9.0 to 10.5 molybdenum, and less than 30 ppm nitrogen. Embodiments of the alloy lack significant levels of titanium nitride and mixed carbonitride inclusions. The alloy may be cold drawn to thin-gauge wire without damage to the die as may be caused by hard particle inclusions in certain conventional alloy formulations.

  • Publication number: 20100282747
Abstract: Disclosed is a closure for a container wherein the container may experience an excessive buildup of internal pressure. The closure is equipped with a “blowout” portion which partially separates from the remaining closure portion if internal pressure exceeds a predetermined limit. The separation occurs at a line of weakness. The line of weakness is specially designed to withstand external, incidental pressure resulting from normal handling yet fracture in a controlled fashion should internal pressure exceed a predetermined amount. In this way inconvenience and possible hazard is avoided from a closure completely separating from the container from excessive pressure.

  • Publication number: 20090188887
Abstract: There is described a closure for use with a container neck. The closure comprises a cap and an insert. The insert is adapted to be permanently adhered to the container neck and has a sealing surface. The cap comprises a complimentary sealing surface for sealable engagement with the sealing surface provided on the insert and engagement means for releasable engagement with complimentary engagement means provided on the container neck.

  • Patent number: 7559432
Abstract: There is described a closure comprising a wall defining an aperture and a membrane frangibly connected to the wall and closing the aperture. The frangible connection between the membrane and the wall lies in a plane which is inclined to a plane perpendicular to an axis of the aperture.

  • Publication number: 20090148334
Abstract: A metal matrix composite material of a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) alloy strengthened by nanophase dispersed particles. The low CTE alloy can be an iron-nickel alloy or an iron-nickel-cobalt alloy. The nanophase particles can be a refractory oxide, carbide or nitride. Also disclosed is a method of making a metal matrix composite material in which the nanophase particles are combined with the low CTE alloy to form a metal matrix composite material having the nanophase particles dispersed therein.

  • Publication number: 20060124575
Abstract: There is described a closure system comprising a cap (14), a neck (12) and tamper evident means (16, 78) integrally moulded in a unitary structure. The structure allows the application of the tamper evident means prevents the cap from being removed from the neck while the tamper evident means remains intact.
