  • Publication number: 20230050496
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, an apparatus comprising a pump configured to deliver insulin, a processor, and a user interface including a bistable display. A display element of the bistable display is placed in one of two stable orientations upon application of a biasing voltage and stays in the stable orientation when the biasing voltage is removed. The processor includes a display module configured to display a non-blank reversion display screen on the bistable display when no input is received at the user interface after a specified time duration, and to recurrently change the reversion display screen until input is received at the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20180117241
Abstract: An administration set is configured to couple to a control module of a peristaltic infusion pump. The set can include a pressure plate and a peristaltic tube. The pressure plate can have attachment features structured to mate with corresponding attachment features of the control module such that the pressure plate is maintained in a fixed position relative to the control module. The peristaltic tube can include a first portion having first inner and outer diameters, a second portion downstream of the first portion having second inner and outer diameters, and a transition portion between the first and second portions. The peristaltic tube can be located along the pressure plate and positioned such that when the attachment features of the pressure plate and control module are mated, an expulsor of the control module engages the first portion and an air-in-line detector of the control module engages the second portion.

  • Patent number: 5482223
Abstract: A reusable film canister for receiving and holding film spirally wound on a spool and method for reusing a film canister. The core of the spool extends further on one axial direction from the roll of film than the other axial direction. First and second partial shells are adapted to be mated together to form a cavity receiving the film. The first and second partial shells have at least one projecting tab. The tab and second partial shell having a mating peg and opening adapted to releasably engage with each other and adapted to secure the first and second shells together when so engaged. The tab is flexible to allow the tab to slide over the peg. The mating surfaces of the tab and the peg are angled with respect to each in order to facilitate mating of the tab with the peg. The mating surface of the tab and the mating surface of the peg are both sloped relative to the orientation of mating. The tab is disengaged from the peg.
