Abstract: A fall arrest device for preventing a free fall comprising a device configured to accept a line having a toothed stopping mechanism held in a locked position and a tracking wheel assembly configured to detect a free fall and dislodge the stopping mechanism from the locked position causing the stopping mechanism to pinch the line into the case to stop the free fall.

Abstract: An alarm activated safety device includes an enclosure. A longitudinal member having an anchorage point for coupling the alarm activated safety device to a work structure and a safety device connection point located thereon extends through the enclosure and is moveable between a first position with the safety device connection point located within the enclosure to a second position with the safety device connection point located at least partially outside of the enclosure to allow for connection of a safety device thereto. An alarm device is coupled to an alarm control circuit. A switch is configured to operate the alarm control circuit. The switch is engaged by the longitudinal member to move the switch from an activated position for the alarm control circuit when the longitudinal member is in the first position to a deactivated position for the alarm control circuit when the longitudinal member is in the second position.

Abstract: In a pole climbing fall prevention assembly having a pole strap, lanyard, and cam assembly that permits adjustment of the pole strap, a lever is attached to the sidewall of a cam assembly to ease the task of a climber needing to adjust the pole strap. A second lever can be attached to the second sidewall of the cam assembly to provide easier access to the lever regardless of the orientation of the cam assembly relative to the climber.
