  • Publication number: 20260071376
Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a drum and a cabinet configured to support the drum for rotation therein. The cabinet has a front face defining an opening that provides access into the drum. A door is pivotally attached to the cabinet and is movable between a closed position and an open position. A latch assembly secures the door in the closed position. The latch assembly includes a catch supported on one of the door and the front face and a striker supported on the other of the door and the front face. The striker is engageable with the catch to latch the latch assembly. One of the catch and striker is movable between a first position in which the catch and striker do not engage when the door is in the closed position and a second position in which the catch and striker can latch.

  • Publication number: 20210310721
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating a dual loop heat pump system in a de-icing mode which enables the heat pump system to maintain a target rate of heat delivery to a cabin while de-icing an outside heat exchanger by leveraging waste-heat available at one or more waste-heat sources. In one example, responsive to an outside heat exchanger de-icing request and a cabin heating request, selecting a first waste-heat heat exchanger based on a temperature of the first waste-heat heat exchanger exceeding a first temperature threshold, flowing coolant to the first waste-heat heat exchanger, flowing a first portion of the coolant exiting the first waste-heat heat exchanger to a cabin heat exchanger, and flowing a second portion of the coolant exiting the first waste-heat heat exchanger to an outside heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 10457111
Abstract: A vehicle includes a climate control system having a heat pump subsystem. The heat pump subsystem has a cabin loop with interior and exterior heat exchangers, and a battery loop with a battery chiller. A valve selectively connects the cabin loop and battery chiller in fluid communication. The vehicle also includes a controller programed to, in response to the heat pump subsystem being in dehumidification mode, command the valve to close to inhibit refrigerant flow to the battery chiller.
