  • Patent number: 8991267
Abstract: A system and method of measuring engine torque by interposing a hub 20 between a power source/engine and a driven device such as a propeller 24. The hub 20 is preferably made unitary of a single material and includes a strain gauge 48/49 to measure twisting forces. The gauge output is transmitted 44 to a receiver not part of any rotating component. A housing 50 shields the gauge but is rigidly connected to only one part of the hub and thus does not impact the strain gauge measurement.

  • Patent number: 8386516
Abstract: A computer system and method is disclosed for mining current and archived address data in order to identify a preferred address for each service point in a territory. The data mining system may start in response to the presentation of a candidate address for matching. The set of mined data may be prioritized by clustering like characteristics, building similarity matrices, and by constructing dendrograms with nodes joined according to common characteristics. A computer system and method for maintaining a central database of preferred addresses is also disclosed. Selected address data gathered in a queue may be scored by characteristic, grouped by consignee location, and staged for processing. The scored queue of data may be prioritized by clustering like characteristics, building similarity matrices, and by constructing dendrograms.

  • Patent number: 7305404
Abstract: A data structure, database management system, and methods of validating data are disclosed. A data structure is described that includes a superset of interconnected relational databases containing multiple tables having a common data structure. The tables may be stored as a sparse matrix linked list. A method is disclosed for ordering records in hierarchical order, in a series of levels from general to specific. An example use with address databases is described, including a method for converting an input address having a subject representation into an output address having a preferred representation. Preferred artifacts may be marked with a token. Alias tables may be included. This Abstract is provided to comply with the rules, which require an abstract to quickly inform a searcher or other reader about the subject matter of the application. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 4963696
Abstract: A tamper-resistant three-phase padmounted transformer is provided including a tank having electrical connections mounted on one wall thereof, and a cabinet fixedly attached to the tank forming a cabinet-to-tank interface therebetween. An elongated P-shaped gasket is positioned at the interface so as to completely fill such interface, and a rib is secured to the cabinet for overlying the interface to form a tamper-resistant cabinet-to-tank interface which prevents the intrusion of extraneous objects into the interior of the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4559699
Abstract: A method of constructing a top-loaded padmounted distribution transformer in which closing of the transformer tank by welding on a top cover is one of the final manufacturing operations. Weld damage to the painted surfaces, which occurs when the cover is welded to the tank, is confined to areas outside of the terminal cover which may be repaired by production line painting techniques, utilizing the terminal cover to "mask" components on the terminal wall.

  • Patent number: 4533786
Abstract: A padmounted transformer enclosure including a tank, terminal cover and sill which cooperatively define a composite structure having no pointed upper corners. The tank-terminal cover interface, and the terminal cover-sill interface, are both square, requiring no matching of curved surfaces.
