Patent number: 11924230Abstract: Data is collected from a set of devices according to a data collection policy. The data is associated with at least one of: device configuration, device state, or device behavior. A norm is established using the collected data. A different data collection policy is established based on the norm. Data is collected from a particular device according to the different data collection policy. The norm is compared to the data collected from the particular device. If there is a deviation beyond a threshold deviation between the norm and the data collected from the particular device, a responsive action is taken.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2020Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: LOOKOUT, INC.Inventors: Kevin Patrick Mahaffey, Timothy Micheal Wyatt, Brian James Buck, John Gunther Hering, Amit Gupta, Alex Cameron Abey

Patent number: 9621602Abstract: Physical social actions are conveniently detected, characterized, and provided to a social networking system. This improves the user experience of the social networking system by more thoroughly recording the social actions of users occurring outside a social graph. This has the effect of extending an open social graph, which typically refers to social actions taken outside the social networking system but within a computer network, to physical social actions. By providing characterized physical social actions to the social networking system, the open social graph is extended to include physical social actions.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2013Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: Timothy Cameron Ryan, Jialiya Huang, Paul Henry Booth, Jonathan Andrew McKay, Seungwhan Moon, Margaret-Ann Julia Seger, Amon Daran Millner, Peter Xiu Deng, Christopher John Marra, Scott Andrew Thomson, Gregory Matthew Marra

Publication number: 20140369899Abstract: A cooling system in an aftertreatment unit for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine is disclosed. The aftertreatment unit includes a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) module, an exhaust conduit portion, and a number of reductant injectors. Each reductant injector includes an injector coolant outlet. The cooling system supplies coolant to the reductant injectors by a coolant pump. A phase separation tank, positioned at a higher gravitational potential downstream of the reductant injectors, includes a number of compartments. Each compartment includes at least one inlet portion and at least one outlet portion. Each inlet portion is in fluid communication to the injector coolant outlet and each outlet portion is in fluid communication with the coolant reservoir. A coolant anti-siphon line portion facilitates fluid communication between the reductant injectors and the phase separation tank.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2014Publication date: December 18, 2014Applicant: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: MATTHEW FAHRENKRUG, Sumeeth Shantharaju Sivanagere, Thomas George Ausman, William Charles Morris, Neil Alan Terry, David Firel Schaller, Dongming Tan, Kurtis Edward Chenoweth, Timothy Cameron Englert

Patent number: 7719736Abstract: In the field of optical quantum information processing, manipulation of single photon qubits in frequency modes employs a frequency beamsplitter employs an asymmetric two-path interferometer, reversible down to the quantum limit. A first partially transmitting mirror splits photons into first and second paths. A time delay element introduces a differential time delay into the second path. And a second partially transmitting mirror mixes the two paths again to form two outputs. A half-wave plate utilizes two of the beam splitters.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2004Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: Qucor Pty Ltd. A.C.N.Inventors: Timothy Cameron Ralph, Elanor Huntington

Patent number: 7519163Abstract: A multichannel content personalization system and method provides for customized, automated telephone calls including audio programs, dialogues, and questions to be placed to seniors and other call recipients. Using the system and method, response data is collected from the call recipient during the telephone call. The information collected from the call recipients is provided to one or more caregivers. Caregivers may also provide information and communicate with the call recipients. Call recipients may be provided with opportunities to alter their call plan data by providing verbal responses during a call or by providing feedback in the form of mail responses to letters seeking feedback from the call recipient.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2006Date of Patent: April 14, 2009Assignee: Warm Health, Inc.Inventors: Timothy A. Cameron, Michael M. Lunzer

Patent number: 7346246Abstract: A method and apparatus for quantum information processing is disclosed in which logical qubits |0>L and |1>L are respectively encoded by different near orthogonal coherent states |?> and |?>, where <?|?>=0, |?> and |?> being the computational basis states for the qubits, for example, in which logical qubits |0>L and |1>L are respectively encoded by different ones of the vacuum state |0> and a multi-photon optical coherent state |?> which states are the computational basis states for the qubits. This provide an efficient scheme for linear optics quantum processing which is deterministic and for which qubit readout can use homodyne detection which is highly efficient. The invention finds application in quantum computation and quantum communication.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2002Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: William John Munro, Gerard James Milburn, Timothy Cameron Ralph
