  • Patent number: 11490749
Abstract: A nested tableware set includes: a) first and second bowls having a base and container portion that terminates at an open rim, and b) a plate interposed between the first and second bowls. Each plate has: 1) a base terminating at a side wall that extends upwardly and terminates at a side wall rim, 2) a base wall extending vertically downwardly from the base, 3) a first annular surface extending horizontally away from an upper end of the base wall, and 4) a second annular surface extending horizontally away from and vertically above the first annular surface. The first annular surface and the base wall together define a first shelf for seating the first bowl, and the second annular surface defines a second shelf for seating another plate. The base and side wall together define a third shelf for seating the second bowl.

  • Patent number: 6685609
Abstract: One carpet seaming tool has an elongate, generally straight handle having on one end thereof a U-shaped bracket having spaced, parallel legs. Secured intermediate its ends in a pair of registering openings in the legs of the bracket is an elongate shaft having rotatably mounted coaxially thereon three rollers, one positioned between the two legs of the bracket and the other two positioned adjacent opposite ends of the bracket. Each roller is generally spirally shaped in configuration, having a spirally shaped outer circumferential surface disposed to have rolling engagement with the surfaces of two carpet sections that are being seamed together. In an alternative form, the handle is curved slightly intermediate its ends, and in addition to having the three spirally shaped rollers on the one end thereof, it has also mounted on its opposite end a U-shaped bracket with an elongate shaft secured intermediate its ends in registering openings in the legs of the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6038733
Abstract: An elongate, plastic housing has formed on the upper surface thereof two, spaced, parallel, longitudinally extending grooves the first of which has slidably positioned therein an elongate, metal, tackless carpet securing strip the opposed side edges of which extend slidably beneath elongate flanges that project from opposite sides of the first groove. Nails or the like are employed to secure the strips and the underlying portion of the housing to a floor, with the second groove facing upwardly to accommodate and secure therein the integral rib section of a conventional threshold insert. In a second embodiment a third groove is formed on the surface of the housing slidably to accommodate a second tackless carpet securing strip adjacent the side of the second groove remote from the first groove.

  • Patent number: 5740614
Abstract: A plurality of blade supporting blocks are secured on the face of a base plate, which has a flange along one side thereof adjustably secured by bolts to one leg of a right angular support plate, the other leg of which extends beneath and in spaced parallel relation to the base plate. Adjustably mounted in each of one or more recesses in each block is a cutting blade, the lower cutting end of which extends through one of a plurality of spaced slots in the base plate. In use, the support plate supports the base plate above the carpet that is to be cut, and with a plurality of cutting blades extending beneath the base plate.

  • Patent number: 5285558
Abstract: A heavy, roller-mounted base plate has thereon a conventional pile carpet trimmer having a shearing head disposed to be swung into and out of a pile access opening in the base plate either to trim the pile of a carpet by sliding the plate on top of the pile, or to bevel the carpet edge by sliding the plate beneath and along one edge of the carpet. Attached to the plate adjacent opposite ends of its pile access opening are two, linearly aligned guide members, which slidably engage a carpet edge during a beveling operation. A retention bracket projects from one of the guide members to overlie the pile surface to prevent any bunching or folding of the carpet edge during the edge-beveling operation.
