Abstract: Embodiments include thermal covers to help drain fluids away from dangerous environments, e.g., in an engine bay in a vehicle. Thermal covers can comprise a hat portion extending between two distal edges, support straps beneath the hat portion and extending between the distal edges, and thermal insulation disposed between the hat portion and the support straps. These can be coupled to the floor so as to allow space below for the flow of fluid. This allows the fluid to flow to holes in the floor of the engine bay, allowing the fluid (which could be flammable) to be drained away from potentially dangerous environments in the engine bay which may involve high temperatures.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for maintaining a position of a vehicle door relative to a vehicle frame may include a link and a fastener. The link may have a first end and a second end. The first end may have a loop and the first end may be at an opposite end of the link from the second end. The fastener may be on a surface of the link and may be configured to fasten the link to the vehicle frame. A hook may be on the second end. The loop may be an arc or an incomplete circular portion. The vehicle may be a rotorcraft vehicle.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for data collection using fiber-optic cable in a well, and analysis of the data to determine instantaneous frequency, instantaneous phase, instantaneous amplitude, and/or dominant frequency. These measures can be used to determine parameters associated with the operation of the well. The parameters can be used to control the operation of the well and/or the fracturing process.

Abstract: An embodiment rotorcraft structure includes a step disposed at an exterior of the rotorcraft, and an emergency kit installed into the recess of the step. The step is faired into a skin on the exterior of the rotorcraft. The emergency kit includes a container and a life raft. The container includes a container body that has a storage cavity, a container panel, and a first attachment element. The container body is disposed in the recess of the step, attached to the step, and has a storage cavity. The container panel is disposed at a bottom of the storage cavity, and the life raft is disposed in the storage cavity. The first attachment element releasably couples a first edge of the container panel to the container body, and encloses the life raft in the container under the step.

The at least one perimeter strap has at least two intersections with the at least one surrounding strap.

The suction cup is used to grasp a golf ball by using the full length of a golf putter. The locking mechanism allows the two bodies to attach and detach from each other, which allows the two bodies to reconfigure themselves and prop up the golf putter. The thumbnail opener can separate the two bodies, and the hinge keeps the two bodies adjoined while the two bodies are separated. The ball marker is detachable component used to mark the location of a golf ball during a game.

An identifier associated with a user such as a caller id number is determined or a cookie installed in the user's computing device facilitating communications when the user first joins a conference. If the user's connection to the conference is severed intentionally or unintentionally, and the user attempts to connect again, the system may prompt the user whether they want to join the same conference or another conference. If the user confirms their desire to join the same conference, the system may connect them without the user having to enter conference identifier, password, or similar information.

An RFID transponder comprises an antenna resonant circuit which is coupled to an associated integrated circuit when the integrated circuit is positioned proximately to the antenna resonant circuit, thereby enabling the integrated circuit to receive and respond to a radiofrequency query signal. The antenna resonant circuit can be integrated with a capsule or other form of removable packaging, such that it is destroyed upon removal of, or tampering with, the packaging.

Abstract: The present invention includes a compound which combines, through esterification, the natural cholesterol lowering properties of plant sterols or stanols with the natural cholesterol lowering properties of fatty acids, more particularly a stearic acid. This combination of substances provides a synergistic lowering of cholesterol by interfering with the normal absorption of cholesterol within the gastrointestinal tract of the digestive system and may assist in avoiding unwanted side effects which are typically experienced with commonly used cholesterol lowering drugs.
