  • Publication number: 20080067004
Abstract: An adaptor is provided for use in connection with an apparatus for lubricating a strand pulled through a conduit. The adaptor includes an entry end for receiving the strand and an exit end through which the strand exits the adaptor. A coupling is provided at the entry end of the adaptor for mating with a coupling on the lubricating apparatus. The exit end of the adaptor is sized to fit within conduit through which the strand is to be pulled.

  • Publication number: 20080035429
Abstract: An automatic wire lubricating device includes first and second components each having a body section of semi-annular configuration defining a portion of a continuous cylindrical interior reservoir formed by the body sections when they are fastened together into an annular body defining a central opening, a pipe fitting attached on an outer circumferential side of the body section of the first component in flow communication with the interior reservoir such that the pipe fitting can be coupled to a soap line coming from a pump, dispensing holes circumferentially spaced apart defined through the body sections providing flow communication from the interior reservoir to the central opening, and coupler pins formed on opposite ends of the body sections of the first and second components which fit together so as to make a tight seal of the interior reservoir when the first and second components are fastened together.

  • Publication number: 20050274576
Abstract: A device dispenses lubricant onto a cable as the cable enters a conduit through which the cable is being pulled. An inside wall flares out in a bell-shaped surface to an entry end of the device where the cable enters, the space enclosed by the inside wall being unobstructed. A lubricant dispensing structure dispenses the lubricant automatically at the inside wall and onto the length of cable. An inside wall defines an inside space through which the cable passes from an entry end of the device to an exit end of the device as the cable is being pulled through the conduit. There is an unthreaded outer cylindrical wall at the exit end of the device, the outer wall having a section of smaller diameter at the exit end and a section of larger diameter spaced apart from the exit end, the smaller diameter and the larger diameter sections corresponding to two different inner diameters of two different conduits, the two different conduits sharing a common outer diameter.
