Patent number: 11963691Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Ryan M. Publication number: 20240091422Abstract: A renal therapy system is disclosed. In an example, the renal therapy system includes a home renal therapy machine that stores, to a log file, dates of when renal therapies were performed and a type of each renal therapy that was performed. The system also includes a server that receives the log file from the home renal therapy machine. The server compares the dates and types of performed renal therapies stored in the log file to a device program that specifies dates for performing renal therapies and the types of renal therapies to be performed. The server displays a flag in a user interface of a clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Neil Tiwari, Joshua James Miller, Marc Steven Minkus, Matthew R. Patent number: 10118276Abstract: A media-bearing polisher and restorer removes surface and subsurface contaminants from one or more vehicle surfaces. In one or more embodiments, the media-bearing polisher and restorer comprises a body having a hemispherical shape. The body comprises a resilient or rigid material and one or more flutes for receiving one or more user fingers. One or more mediums, which absorbs and extracts contaminants from the surface, are attached to a bottom of the hemispherical body. A variety of media may be used with the media-bearing polisher and restorer.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2018Date of Patent: November 6, 2018Inventor: Timothy D. Miller

Patent number: 9908218Abstract: A media-bearing polisher and restorer removes surface and subsurface contaminants from a vehicle, household or other surface. The media-bearing polisher and restorer comprises an ovoid body with a planar bottom. The body comprises a resilient or rigid material and one or more flutes for receiving one or more user fingers. A permeable elastic medium is removably attached to the planar bottom of the body, which absorbs and extracts contaminants from the surface. A variety of media can be used with the media-bearing polisher and restorer.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2014Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Inventor: Timothy D. Miller

Patent number: 9611618Abstract: A grapple apparatus may comprise at least one grapple arm movable between an open and a closed position, and having a proximal arm portion and a distal arm portion. The apparatus may include a primary actuator having extended and retracted conditions to move the proximal arm portion, and a secondary actuator having extended and retracted conditions to move the distal arm portion. The primary actuator may be configured such that an initial rate of movement of the primary actuator from the extended condition toward the retracted condition is slower than an initial rate of movement of the secondary actuator from the extended condition toward the retracted condition to produce substantially complete movement of the distal arm portion of the at least one grapple arm toward the open position before movement of the proximal arm portion toward the open position is initiated.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2015Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Inventor: Timothy D. Miller

Patent number: 9169614Abstract: A system for mounting a grapple on a loader attachment having a grapple mount structure, and may comprise a grapple attachment structure removably mountable to the mount structure. A mount pin alignment device may have an abutment surface configured to contact a support surface of the grapple mount structure in the mounted condition, with a position of the alignment device being adjustable to facilitate alignment of a second pin aperture of the attachment structure with a first pin aperture on the mount structure. The system may also include a lateral mount alignment element to laterally position the attachment structure with respect to the mount structure.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2013Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Inventor: Timothy D.
