  • Patent number: 6370225
Abstract: An image receptor for an X-ray apparatus including a lead glass panel laminate that is directly coupled to at least one lens assembly with an optical adhesion material. Each lens assembly is directly coupled to an associated solid state image sensor by an optical adhesion material. Each solid state image sensor is in electrical communication with an integral mother board by way of a removable daughterboard. The motherboard includes through apertures for allowing the servicing of each lens assembly. The lens assembly includes a focus adjustment that allows a linear adjustment of the lens assembly while maintaining the electrical communication with the motherboard. The lead glass panel laminate further includes light directing properties in the form of at least one partitioning mask that is formed in its second surface. Each partitioning mask cooperates with light directing coatings that are applied to a top surface of a lead glass panel of the lead glass panel laminate.

  • Patent number: 6002743
Abstract: An image acquisition system that uses multiple cameras or image sensors in a redundant camera array. The cameras or sensors are arrayed in rows and columns so that a viewing area of each camera overlaps a viewing area of an adjacent camera. At least one camera is positioned in the array so that all edges of its viewing area abuts the viewing area of an adjacent camera. The image is displayed or stored in seamless and continuous form in high resolution. The system may also be used in low light conditions for image acquisition. Multiple cameras or sensors may be arrayed on modular panels that mates with and adjacent modular panel. The system is adaptable to image acquisition for X-rays, scanning, photocopying, security systems and the like.

  • Patent number: 5838131
Abstract: A foot operated control for electrical circuits that includes a foot rest, and at least one switch that is housed and mounted in a recess formed in a selected portion of the foot rest. The foot rest having a selected profile defining a horizontal portion and at least one inclined portion. A pivoting axis is formed at an intersection of the horizontal portion and the inclined portion adjacent thereto. The switch is actuated as and when the foot rest portion is tilted in a selected direction about the pivot axis so that an operator of the switch contacts a supporting surface or floor. The foot control may be configured for controlling multiple distinct circuits by way or a corded or cordless operation. This foot control may include elastomer boots or an elastomeric covered bottom cover for providing environmental protection. Preferably, the foot control includes a safety interlock, for minimizing the accidental actuation of the circuits when an operators foot is not present.

  • Patent number: 5635777
Abstract: A foot operated control apparatus for randomly selecting any function and subsequently activating that function of a multi-function device that includes a base assembly and a foot operator assembly. The foot operator assembly is capable of being articulated in at least distinct three directions of travel with respect to the base assembly. The foot operator assembly may be selectively moved by the foot of the user in any of the directions, separately or in combination, to provide a floating-like movement. This apparatus includes indicating means for providing physical sensory indications to the user during the random selection and activation of a function.

  • Patent number: 5555120
Abstract: A cordless control system for actuating selected functions of a mobile X-ray unit. This cordless control system comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The portable transmitter is hand held and includes a first control switch, a second control switch, and an infrared emitting circuit. The infrared emitting circuit includes a plurality programmable encoding switches. Each of the programmable encoding switches are user switchable for emitting at least one binary coded infrared signal. The receiver includes a plurality of infrared sensors and a receiving circuit. The receiving circuit includes a plurality of programmable decoding switches. Each of the infrared sensors is arrayed for receiving each binary coded signal being sent by the transmitter.
