  • Patent number: 11532072
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, are described for combining the crop function with zoom, pan and straighten functions as part of a single cropping environment, such that a user can select a portion of an image for cropping, apply zoom, pan and straighten transformations to the selected image portion and then crop the transformed image portion in a single utility. In one aspect, the methods include the actions of receiving user input defining a crop region within a displayed image. The methods also include the actions of displaying a user interface including a cropping panel that is configured to display a subset of the image corresponding to the defined crop region. Further, the methods include the actions of receiving user input requesting to perform at least one of a zoom, rotate or translate operation on the crop region displayed in the cropping panel.

  • Patent number: 8957865
Abstract: In some embodiments, an electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface object. The device detects a first contact and a second contact concurrently on the touch-sensitive surface. The device determines which contact of the first contact and the second contact is a topmost contact, a bottommost contact, a leftmost contact, and a rightmost contact on the touch-sensitive surface. While continuing to detect the first contact and the second contact, the device detects movement of the first contact across the touch-sensitive surface, and concurrently moves two edges of the user interface object that correspond to the first contact in accordance with the detected movement of the first contact, including horizontally moving one of the two edges and vertically moving the other of the two edges.

  • Patent number: 8553976
Abstract: Techniques for differentially enhancing selected areas within a digital image are disclosed. In certain embodiments, one or more attributes of a selected pixel or a group of pixels is determined. Examples of such attributes include color properties, grayscale properties, and/or multi-pixel properties, such as texture. In certain embodiments, the attribute may be used in conjunction with the properties of a modification tool, such as a brush, to selectively modify pixels having the attribute value or a similar attribute value.

  • Publication number: 20070201833
Abstract: Techniques are described for creating and storing data describing a pixel aspect ratio and specifications of the clean aperture of video data. This data may be used to determine parameters of one or more modes of display which may be selected for an individual track based upon the rendering intent, and the parameters may be stored with the video data.
