The anvil presents a body that has an impingement surface, which has a high concentration wear area and a low concentration wear area. The anvil further includes a wear-resistant member. The high concentration wear area of the body has the wear-resistant member. The high concentration wear area of the body has a greater wear resistance than the low concentration wear area of the body.
