  • Patent number: 11940651
Abstract: A light guide comprising a polymeric layer at least 25 percent transmissive over at least a 30 nm bandwidth in a wavelength range from 180 to 280 nm over a distance of at least 100 micrometers and visible light transparent reflecting layers (UV-C mirror) that are at least 50 percent reflective over at least 30 nm bandwidth in a wavelength range from 180 to 280 nm over an incident light angle of 0 to 90 degrees and that are at least 25 percent transmissive of visible light over at least 30 nm bandwidth in a wavelength range of 400 to 800 nm over an incident light angle of 0 to 90 degrees. The light guide is useful, for example, for antimicrobial surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20210238829
Abstract: A wear member comprising: an upper leg having a ground engaging surface on an outer side thereof and a mounting surface on an inner side thereof, and a lower leg spaced apart from the upper leg and also having a ground engaging surface on an outer side thereof and a mounting surface on an inner side thereof, the mounting surfaces defining a mounting cavity therebetween and the legs meeting at a front portion, the upper leg defining (i) a lock aperture therein, (ii) a rear edge, and (iii) a lifting feature located adjacent to and between the lock aperture and the rear edge; the lifting feature defining (a) a front surface lower than the upper leg ground engaging surface and being inclined relative thereto, (b) a lower support surface opposite the front surface, and (c) a rear engaging surface extending between the front surface and the lower support surface and being recessed relative to the rear edge; wherein the front surface, lower support surface, and rear engaging surface provide a narrowed portion around

  • Patent number: 9934168
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for switching (via a hub connection device) peripheral devices (such as a display, keyboard, mouse, audio) between a primary computing device (such as an embedded computer or a network connected server) and a secondary portable personal computing device (such as a laptop, or a smart-phone). The present invention relates generally to multi-user computing, docking stations, and embedded system on a chip computing and specifically to methods and systems for switching peripheral devices between multiple computers both for independent and/or multi-user operation. This invention enables a single set of peripherals to be used for both independent and docking station operation, increasing productivity for users of portable computing devices (through expanded peripheral access) and decreasing deployment costs for organizations (by supporting multiple use-cases via just a single set of peripherals).

  • Patent number: 9911176
Abstract: A system is disclosed for improving the flexibility and performance of video walls including a method for using a primary GPU for initial rendering to a GPU frame buffer, copying of this frame buffer to system memory for processing into multiple sub-frames then outputting the sub-frames via multiple secondary graphics controllers. This system enables the video wall server to leverage performance advantages afforded by GPU acceleration and maintaining performance while providing full flexibility of the CPU and system memory to apply the required transformations to the sub-images as well as flexibility in the selection of secondary graphics controllers (including network graphics approaches where the graphics controller is connected over a network) for outputting the multiple sub-images to a plurality of displays. This has applications generally in the field of real-time multiple display graphics processing as well as specific applications in the field of video walls and network video walls.

  • Patent number: 9086839
Abstract: A method of multi-user computing comprises detecting, by processing structure of a host computing device running a first operating system, devices in communication with the host computing device for supporting an additional user. The devices comprise a multiseat connection device, and at least one peripheral input device and at least one peripheral display device. The devices are configured to enable a user to interact with the host operating system. The method further comprises generating, by the processing structure, an instance of a second operating system; assigning, by the processing structure, the multiseat connection device, and supporting devices housed therein to the second operating system; and configuring, by the processing structure, device drivers running within the second operating system for supporting any of the supporting devices and the peripheral devices in communication with the multiseat connection device, for enabling the additional user to use the second operating system.
