  • Patent number: 11850136
Abstract: Packaging for a medical implant such as a hernia repair prosthetic material includes a carrier and a stiffener. The hernia repair prosthetic material is placed adjacent to the stiffener within the carrier. The carrier assembly is sealed within an outer pouch, such as a foil pouch, and sterilized. When the carrier is being removed from the pouch in preparation for surgery, the stiffener helps prevent the carrier assembly from contacting non-sterile portions of the pouch.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 22, 2023
Date of Patent: December 26, 2023
    Assignee: C.R. Bard, Inc.

  • Patent number: 10658075
Abstract: A system includes a non-transitory computer-readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for providing a method related to rapid reporting of meaningful use in electronic health records. The method includes storing patient encounter data in a database, pre-calculating data related to at least one meaningful use measure, storing the pre-calculated data in a plurality of small staging tables, and compiling the pre-calculated and stored data from the small staging tables into a single table that is adapted to be accessed by reporting software.

  • Patent number: 5701869
Abstract: A fuel delivery system for delivering fuel from a fuel tank to an internal combustion engine includes a fuel pump disposed within the tank and an accumulator communicating between the fuel pump and the engine for storing a volume of fuel under pressure. The system also includes a fuel pump control means for controlling the output of fuel flow from the fuel pump. The control means selectively causes the fuel pump output flow to either supply fuel to both the engine and the accumulator or bypass fuel at a lower pressure while fuel is supplied by the accumulator alone, thereby reducing the average power demand of the pump.
