Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described. A user journey may be initiated by a user device, and a trace may be generated for the user journey. The trace may include one or more spans that each correspond to at least one service of a set of services that provide functionality to the user journey (e.g., as components of an application). Based on the generated trace including the one or more spans, both diagnostic information and user-specific transaction information may be collected for the user journey. For example, the diagnostic information may include information associated with a service (e.g., how long the service took to complete) and the user-specific transaction information may include information related to the user, such as a location of the user, a type of device used for a transaction, among other examples. The diagnostic information and user-specific transaction information may be stored and processed by a system.

One embodiment relates to a monitoring system including: a camera (201) for capturing images of a person's face, including the person's eyes; one or more infrared light sources (204, 206) for illuminating the person's face during a period in which the images are captured; and a controller for processing the captured images to determine information about the person's eyes or face and for controlling the output power of the one or more infrared light sources upon detection of a monitoring signal indicative of the proximity of a part of the person from the one or more infrared light sources.

The marker positioning mechanism securely holds the marker so as to identify the distinct date or time and prevent accidental or unintended movement of the marker to another date or time. Therefore, the marker can be selectively moved to identify the distinct date or time after each use of the food handling apparatus to remind a user of a last time an animal was fed.

The bag dispenser may include an optional scooper associated with the housing and configured to provide a frame with which a bag is associated to facilitate the collection of pet refuse within the bag.
