  • Publication number: 20240118258
Abstract: An apparatus includes a first member having a housing that encloses a power source and a controller, a second member coupled to the first member that is seeded with a target product, and a sensing module coupled to the first member to allow power from the power source to be transmitted to the sensing module and sensor data from the sensing module to be transmitted to the controller. The sensing module including a sensor oriented toward at least a portion of the second member. The sensor configured to obtain sensor data associated with at least one characteristic of the target product.

  • Publication number: 20190026749
Abstract: A security tag and electronic system detect unauthorized tampering of Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) and authenticate MCCBs against counterfeiting or gray market items. The system can involve digital generation of a public key and a corresponding private key, both keys comprise large positive integers, applying the private key to an MCCB-specific message string and creating a digital signature code, generating an identification code from the MCCB-specific message string and the digital signature code, building the identification code into one or more security tags, and installing the security tags on MCCBs, and authenticating MCCBs through a verification step and a certification step. The verification step reads the security tags, and verifies the identification code. The certification step checks the identification code against a revocation list that contains previously compromised identification codes.

  • Patent number: 5367619
Abstract: An rulebase software system is incorporated into a form data entry system for a digital computer to assure that only complete, consistent and valid data entries are made in accordance with the expert system rulebase. The rulebase is in a simple tabular format which eliminates the need for programming. The system interprets the rulebase tables automatically in order to draw the data forms and subforms displayed on the computer screen. Dependencies between input data fields on a data form and between fields and subforms are embedded in the tables of the rulebase. Valid data entries displayed for a given menu field vary in accordance with certain prior entries, and fields which can only assume one valid value can be automatically filled in with the single value dependent upon the value previously entered for designated other fields. Context sensitive hypertext help forms called by a selected field are dependent upon values previously entered for designated other fields.

  • Patent number: 5225987
Abstract: A generic tool is provided by storing into a PC computer data representing structurally a vertical section and objects to be placed inside the vertical section, and by manipulating virtually with the PC computer selected objects in relation to cases within the vertical section while testing the physical compatibility, so as to build a feasible product configuration to be visually shown by the PC computer as an aid in the actual installation manually of the product with actual such objects and vertical section, for instance to build up a panelboard.

  • Patent number: 4649515
Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring and diagnosing sensor and interactive based process systems. The knowledge base concerning the process system per se is in the form of a list stored in memory, which list includes domain specific rules in evidence-hypothesis form. This domain dependent information is devoid of means for interconnecting the rules to perform diagnostic services. A completely domain independent set of meta-level rules is stored in memory, which, in response to sensor and/or user input, searches the knowledge base and effectively constructs a rule network through which belief is propagated, to detect and report malfunctions, to output control signals for modifying the operation of the monitored system, and to aid users by providing information relative to malfunctions which pinpoints probable causes.

  • Patent number: 4642636
Abstract: Numerous signal conditioning circuits on a plurality of printed circuit boards are calibrated remotely by a signal processing unit which sends coded signals to each board, either sequentially or in parallel, to connect either on-board or off-board test signals to one of the conditioning circuits in place of its field generated input. The processing unit utilizes the actual and expected responses of each conditioning circuit to low and high test signals to generate a gain and an offset which are applied to the conditioned field signal to provide a calibrated signal. The time constant for each conditioning circuit is also measured periodically, or upon a selected temperature change, for use in generating a minimum waiting period for obtaining valid data following transfers between the field generated signals and the test signals.
