    Abstract: A collar and leash assembly for securing an animal, including a collar, a leash, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is connected to the collar and to a first end of the leash. A catch located on the second end of the leash is attached to the locking mechanism, forming a loop around a secure object. The catch cannot be released from the locking mechanism unless the locking mechanism is unlocked. This collar and leash assembly provides an effective means of securing an animal.
