  • Patent number: 8814224
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a suspension system for supporting an enclosure. The system includes a compression fitting that couples an enclosure mounting assembly to a hollow connector tube and provides a substantially sealed pathway between the enclosure mounting assembly to the hollow connector tube. The compression fitting includes at least one coupling body and at least one compression nut. The compression nuts are tightened around portions of the coupling bodies to secure end portions of the enclosure mounting assembly and the hollow connector tube within the coupling bodies.

  • Patent number: 8702184
Abstract: A locking mechanism for an enclosure. The locking mechanism includes a housing with an outer surface having a first tab fixedly attached to the housing. The housing is adapted to be coupled to a door by pressing the housing through a latch housing of a latching mechanism of the door until the first tab springs out and locks the housing in place in the latch housing. The locking mechanism includes an insert adapted to be positioned through the housing and adapted to be coupled to a flange of the latching mechanism of the door. The insert includes either a handle or a knob. Rotation of the insert rotates the flange to lock the door.

  • Publication number: 20120304714
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide enclosures for electronic components and methods for manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, the enclosure includes first and second sidewalls formed from a single elongated piece of sheet metal. The first sidewall, the second sidewall, a third sidewall, and a fourth sidewall define an interior space of the enclosure. At least one of the first and second sidewalls includes an edge region folded inwardly relative to the interior space to form a mounting channel. The enclosure further includes a backwall coupled with first edges of the sidewalls and a door hingedly coupled with a second edge of at least one of the sidewalls.

  • Patent number: 8070120
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a vertical motion pendant arm for supporting an enclosure at a desired height. The vertical motion pendant arm can include an enclosure mounting assembly, a support mounting assembly, and one or more connectors. The vertical motion pendant arm can also include a drawbridge mechanism having a rotatable worm, a rotatable gear that engages the rotatable worm, one or more drawbridge arms coupled to the rotatable gear, and one or more gas springs coupled to the drawbridge arms and the connectors. The gas springs can provide a counterforce to the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20100133390
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a variable angle fitting to route cables around a corner. The variable angle fitting includes a main body with a base plate, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a first joint plate, and a second joint plate. The first joint plate can be rotatably coupled to the base plate by a first deformable hinge, and the second joint plate can be rotatably coupled to the base plate by a second deformable hinge. The variable angle fitting also includes a first bracket and a second bracket that is identical to the first bracket. The first bracket can be coupled to the first joint plate, and the second bracket can be coupled to the second joint plate. The first bracket can be positioned at a first angle with respect to the base plate, and the second bracket can be positioned at a second angle with respect to the base plate in order to route cables around the corner.
