  • Fixture for positioning electrical components

    Abstract: A method for positioning an electrical component for pick-up by a pick-and-place device which includes removing the electrical component directly from a storage tube through a window formed in the storage tube. The electrical components slide in the storage tube to a desired removal position which is adjacent the window, and are removed through the window using a pick-up tool. A modified storage tube formed with the window is also disclosed, along with a connecting hole with which the storage tube is connected to a fixture. The fixture includes a pin which fits into the connecting hole.
