  • Publication number: 20060102860
Abstract: A sliding stem seal assembly includes a stem having an outer surface and a seal slidably received on the stem. In one embodiment, the seal includes a flared end with inner and outer flanges. In some embodiments, the seal comprises low friction material, such as a TEFLON material for example. In one embodiment, the flared end is also provided with a recess and a cantilever spring, or finger members, tending to bias the inner and outer flanges to provide positive radial pressure for optimizing fluid sealing in low-pressure and zero-pressure modes while minimizing frictional forces in use.

  • Publication number: 20060102246
Abstract: A sliding stem seal assembly for a fluid dispenser. In one embodiment, an insertable module retains a stem seal and a housing seal even when disengaged from the housing of the dispenser. The module isolates the stem seal from the housing such that it contacts the stem and a low friction surface of the module, and the module also isolates the housing seal from movement of the stem, for reduced wear from the housing and the moving stem.

  • Publication number: 20050076970
Abstract: A nozzle is provided for dispensing liquid into a container. The nozzle includes a nozzle body, having an inlet for receiving liquid, an outlet for dispensing liquid, and a liquid passage extending between the inlet and the outlet. A poppet valve assembly including a poppet valve stem, wherein the poppet valve assembly is adapted to selectively control the flow of liquid through the liquid passage. A latch stem is provided that is slidable to and from an operative position. A retention pin attached to the latch stem and at least one first rotatable member is disposed to contact the retention pin. A first lever portion includes at least one second rotatable member disposed to contact the poppet valve stem and a second lever portion. The second lever portion has a first end pivotally attached to the first lever portion and a second end that engages at least one of the retention pin and first rotatable member.

  • Publication number: 20050056500
Abstract: An advanced system externally controlling the internal valve components of a shock absorber is provided. An actuator and controller is utilized to adjust the valving to a predetermined dampening rates as a function of a predetermined event or series of events and independent of the forces acting upon the associated wheel or attaching component.
