  • Patent number: 10314283
Abstract: A curtain machine has a sealed control enclosure. The control enclosure, disposed in a machine interior of a machine housing, forms an enclosure interior and is configured to form a moisture impermeable seal separating the environment of the control enclosure from the environment of the machine interior and the external environment of the curtain machine. A motorized threaded member is configured to move a load block within the machine interior, for example to actuate a cable-based curtain mechanism, with both the load block and threaded member disposed outside the enclosure interior. The enclosure interior of the control enclosure includes a control circuit configured to operate the motor, and a mechanical limit switch configured to be mechanically actuated by the load block to stop the motor responsive to the load block moving along the threaded member beyond a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 9955669
Abstract: According to an exemplary embodiment, an improved nipple water valve includes a nipple housing, a deflector, an annular seal, a nipple stem, a resilient element, and an orifice housing portion, assembled such that the deflector deflects water exiting the valve toward an internal surface of the nipple housing, thereby reducing spray. The deflector is also arranged to restrain movement of the nipple stem in a direction toward the deflector and to permit movement of the nipple stem away from the deflector to aid operation of the nipple water valve.

  • Publication number: 20160065479
Abstract: System, method, and computer product embodiments for providing a distributed input/output (I/O) architecture for network functions virtualization. A first load balancer includes an I/O interface for receiving a packet from a network. The first load balancer constructs a flow key using portions of the packet. The flow key is hashed to generate a bucket value. Then, the first load balancer locates a second load balancer for processing the packet by looking up the bucket value from a lookup table stored on the first load balancer. Finally, the first load balancer forwards at least one of the packet, the flow key, or metadata associated with the packet to the second load balancer causing the second load balancer to perform a flow key lookup to determine an application server for processing the packet.

  • Publication number: 20160065498
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing the state of resources shared among a plurality of network nodes. in an embodiment, a transaction may first be received from a transaction provider. The transaction may target one or more data objects within a communications network. The transaction may be distributed to a first set of data store nodes and network nodes that subscribe to at least one of the targeted data objects. Each data store node may store a plurality of data objects within the network. The transaction may then be distributed hierarchically to a second set of data store nodes and network nodes by the first set of nodes. The transaction may include one or more subtransactions, and the transaction may not complete until each subtransaction completes.

  • Patent number: 8689239
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer system accesses an event associated with an activity, where the activity has been executed by a runtime as part of a software application. The runtime includes a software hook configured to listen for event stream operation indications from the user. The computer system tags the accessed event with an additional portion of identification information that uniquely identifies the executed activity. The computer system receives an event stream operation indication from the user indicating that event transmission for an identified event stream is to be dynamically enabled or disabled and identifies the user-indicated event stream using the tagged identification information. The computer system also dynamically performs the indicated event stream operation on the identified event stream according to the user's indication.

  • Patent number: 7498712
Abstract: Systems and methods for electrical component, e.g., brush, manufacture are provided that control grain orientation. The systems and methods utilize hot pressing techniques to enhance the properties and functionalities of the electrical components/brushes. An intermediate work product characterized by a grain orientation is initially formed through a conventional pressing technique. The conventionally-pressed intermediates are positioned within a cavity/die with the grain orientation in a predetermined orientation relative to the hot press force to be applied thereto. The hot pressed final product exhibits superior resistivity, strength and apparent density/durability. Surface features may be formed on the face(s) of the final work product during the hot pressing step that cannot be achieved in conventional processing techniques. Advantageous articles of manufacture, e.g., brushes and brush assemblies, are also disclosed.
