  • Publication number: 20240131268
Abstract: A fluid injector system for delivering a multi-phase fluid injection to a patient and methods of fluid delivery is disclosed. Methods of creating and using a multi-aspect fluid path impedance model of the injector system are used. Modeling and adjustment of factors that affect impedance and prevent or reduce backflow, reduce the likelihood of fluid flow rate spikes and provide more accurate flow rates and mixing ratios of fluids may be repeated or happen essentially continuously during an injection. The adjustments may be determined before the injection or determined and/or adjusted during the injection. The determination may include sensor feedback commonly used in injectors such as pressure and position feedback as well as other sensors. In all cases, the user can be notified of adjustments through on-screen notices and/or through the recordation of the injection data by a control device of the injector at the conclusion of the injection.

  • Patent number: 11780609
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for predictive maintenance of a vehicle component. One method involves mapping a current instance of a component of a vehicle to one of plurality of degradation groups of prior lifecycles for other instances of the component based on a relationship between performance measurement data for the current instance and historical performance measurement data associated with that respective degradation group, obtaining contextual data associated with operation of the vehicle, and determining a maintenance recommendation for the current instance of the component based on the contextual data using a predictive maintenance model associated with the mapped degradation group.

  • Publication number: 20230278860
Abstract: A process and system for generating hydrogen gas are described, in which water is electrolyzed to generate hydrogen and oxygen, and a feedstock including oxygenate(s) and/or hydrocarbon(s), is non-autothermally catalytically oxidatively reformed with oxygen to generate hydrogen. The hydrogen generation system in a specific implementation includes an electrolyzer arranged to receive water and to generate hydrogen and oxygen therefrom, and a non-autothermal segmented adiabatic reactor containing non-autothermal oxidative reforming catalyst, arranged to receive the feedstock, water, and electrolyzer-generated oxygen, for non-autothermal catalytic oxidative reforming reaction to produce hydrogen. The hydrogen generation process and system are particularly advantageous for using bioethanol to produce green hydrogen.

  • Publication number: 20230097385
Abstract: A spray pyrolysis system and method are described for manufacture of mixed metal oxide compositions, e.g., mixed metal oxide catalyst compositions having utility for gas processing applications such as hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, reduction, and oxidation. Mixed metal oxide automotive exhaust catalyst compositions produced by such system and method achieve a substantial reduction in temperatures required for removal of automotive exhaust pollutant species, as compared to catalyst produced by conventional batch precipitation techniques. The spray pyrolysis system and method enable catalytic metal(s) to be integrally incorporated in the mixed metal oxide composition, thereby obviating a separate catalytic metal impregnation operation.

  • Publication number: 20070251663
Abstract: The invention includes a system, method and machine readable program for dynamically controlling the casting of a material. Generally, the systems and methods described herein include an active control feedback system or aspects thereof including a temperature sensing device that is well-suited for the harsh environment of the interior of a caster such as a caster for casting metal. Temperature measurement can be accomplished either directly or indirectly. The system is configured to compare the measured temperature with an ideal casting temperature. The temperature sensing device is operably coupled to a cooling device that modulates a flow of coolant to dynamically cool the material being cast. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the cooling device includes a plurality of nozzles for delivering one or more cooling fluids to the material being cast.

  • Publication number: 20060032165
Abstract: The repair of foundations formed by pouring concrete about a timber post is greatly simplified by the present invention. A post bracket is provided having a first portion that can be inserted into and mechanically restrained in the recess of an existing foundation, for example a foundation wherein a rotted old post has been removed. The post bracket also has second portion to which a new post can be attached. The post bracket is used by clearing out the old post, inserting the first portion and securing the bracket, and then attaching the post. The inventive bracket and method greatly reduce the time and expense construction compared with the prior art method of replacing foundations.

  • Patent number: 5274947
Abstract: A novel bait retainer for fish hooks is disclosed which includes a wire type helix with at least one end of the retainer left open and having a sharp point. The body of the retainer is an elongated cylindrical configuration with a diameter and length which corresponds with the type of bait and size of hook with which the retainer is to be used. The retainer is positioned slidably over the shank of the hook with the open end positioned nearest the curved portion of the hook. In use the bait is inserted over the end of the hook and is moved to the shank portion. The retainer is rotatably threaded through the mass or body of the bait and the retainer and bait is then moved backward around the curved portion of the hook until the bait is properly positioned with respect to the barbed end of the hook. In this way the retainer supports the bait and holds the bait in the proper position to catch fish.
