Abstract: A pressure regulator assembly having a pre-set apparatus in a selectively inaccessible location for pre-setting a minimum pressure for said pressure regulator and an adjustable mechanism for providing a selectively higher pressure. The pre-set apparatus is selectively adjustable only upon gaining entry to the selectively inaccessible location. A shield member prevents blockage of a venting port while assuring continued communication between the venting port and an area of reduced pressure, such as atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: A button for attachment to a sheet of compliant material that includes an elastic body and a cap formed from malleable material secured to the body. The flange of the elastic body has an integral thin ring to which the outer portion of the cap is wrapped around and secured. Heat causes expansion of the elastic body; but, because, the ring is thin there is little expansion and the periphery of the cap is not cammed open to become loose on the body of the button.

Abstract: A domed cap button collet and the method and apparatus for the manufacture of same by deforming a flat domed button collet having an elastic body including: a shank; a radially extending plate-like flange located one end of the shank; and, a cap formed of malleable material overlying the outer surface of the flange and crimped to the peripheral portion of the flange. Pressure is simultaneously applied to bend the flange and cap member into a substantially convex dome shape. Upon removal of the pressure, the cap member retains its dome shape and the flange member reverts to its original plate-like configuration.

Abstract: A button secured by a rivet to a sheet of compliant material includes an elastic body having a dish-shaped web whose peripheral rim carries the button cap. The web is of uniform construction through its circumference for consistent resiliency whereby the button can be easily tilted from its normal position so as to be readily inserted through the buttonhole of an article.
