  • Patent number: 7992294
Abstract: An interconnect device is used to mate a heat generating device to a power source. Plated components are provided on the interconnect device to provide a heat sink function for the heat generating device when the heat generating device is connected to the interconnect device, and to provide an electrical path between the heat generating device and the power source. A method of manufacturing same is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2008
Date of Patent: August 9, 2011
    Assignee: Molex Incorporated
Inventors: Victor Zaderej, Kevin O'Connor, Charlie Manlapaz, Timothy Hagan, Samuel C. Ramey

  • Publication number: 20070212198
Abstract: A process of forming a shaped composite material is provided which includes the steps of providing a composite strip having a substantially rigid substrate with a major surface and a polymer overlying the major surface of the substantially rigid substrate. The process further includes shaping the composite strip with a mandrel to form a shaped composite piece having a shape substantially defined by the shape of the mandrel, wherein during the shaping step the major surface of the composite strip is substantially maintained in one plane.

  • Patent number: 5767933
Abstract: Dual purpose eyewear for camouflaging a wearer's eyes. The eyewear comprises a pair of lens supported on a frame which positions the lens in front of the wearer's eyes. Shielding sidepieces are also supported by the frame and cooperate with the lens to camouflage and protect the eyes. The lens and sidepieces include a smooth surface for surface tension adhesion of a film material. The film material is cut into irregular shapes and sizes and is removably adhered to the lens and sidepieces in a random and arbitrary pattern. The pattern, while not substantially obstructing the wearer's vision, combines with the irregular shapes and sizes of the film material to create a camouflage effect of the eyeglasses and to conceal the whites of the wearer's eyes. The camouflage eyewear is readily converted to safety or tinted eyeglasses for unobstructed vision by removing the film material from the lens and sidepieces.
