Abstract: A weightlifting system includes a spotter platform which flanks a weight bench. The spotter platforms provide a surface raised above the base upon which a spotter may stand. The spotter platform may be articulated to a vertical stowed position to clear an area on the base for other exercises. The spotter platforms also provide fixed receipt areas within which the weight bench is received to provide proper weightlifter positioning while minimizing any relative movement between the weight bench and the weight bar frame rack.

Abstract: A weightlifting system includes a weight bar frame rack which includes a multitude of openings along an upright to receive a weight support assembly at various positions along the frame rack. The support assembly includes a multitude of studs which extend from an inner surface of a U-shaped support plate to engage the openings and provide a robust weight support which will bear a significant quantity of weight. In use, the weight support assembly is pushed into and down the upright such that that the studs engage and are guided by the openings. Concurrent therewith, a spring bias is overcome until a latch member encounters a lock opening to securely lock the support into the desired position. To remove the weight support assembly a lock trigger is retracted and the weight support assembly is lifted up and out of the openings. The entire locking and unlocking of the weight support assembly is readily performed with one hand.

The adjustable headrest assembly is movable from a position flat with a backrest assembly to a multitude of articulated positions. To reset the headrest assembly back to the flat position, the headrest assembly is articulated to a fully articulated position, then returned to the flat position.

Abstract: A weight bench system an adjustable seat assembly and an adjustable backrest assembly linkage which assures that a seat cushion frame remains in a comfortable position relative to a backrest cushion frame at all back angle positions. A backrest adjustment pin assembly provides for adjustment of the backrest assembly and the seat assembly. The backrest adjustment pin assembly may be operated either by directly retracting a lock pin or remotely by actuating a remote handle assembly.
