  • Patent number: 10348758
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for providing interfaces for visualizing threats within networked control systems may include (i) receiving a request to provide a graphical interface to visualize a networked control system with multiple components, (ii) identifying within the networked control system a potential security threat involving a potentially compromised component of the networked control system, and (iii) providing the graphical interface by (a) ordering the components according to a control hierarchy, (b) portraying each component within a circular area by arranging the components according to the control hierarchy and according to domains within the networked control system such that each component falling within a given domain is placed within a corresponding arc of the circular area, and (c) highlighting, within the graphical interface, an area within an arc of the circular area containing the potentially compromised component.

  • Patent number: 8126187
Abstract: An audio system includes mounting one or more speakers on the surface between an exterior side panel and an interior side panel of a door on a vehicle. The one or more speakers may face substantially along an axis in the longitudinal direction of the door. When the door is open, a cover may be controlled to extend over and close an opening in the interior side panel, thereby allowing sound from the one or more speakers to project to an exterior of the vehicle. When the door is closed, the cover may be controlled to expose the opening, thereby allowing sound from the one or more speakers to enter an interior of the vehicle through the opening.

  • Patent number: 7269270
Abstract: The frequency at which standing waves occur in a loudspeaker enclosure may be reduced by the addition of an internal barrier to the enclosure in order to lengthen the effective length of an internal dimension of the enclosure. Additionally, the internal barrier may be configured such that it forms a resistive coupling between two sides of the barrier. By configuring the internal barrier to form a resistive coupling, aberrations in the frequency response of the loudspeaker caused by certain standing waves may be dampened.

  • Patent number: 5809153
Abstract: Electroacoustical transducing apparatus includes an input for receiving an audio electrical signal. A first electroacoustical transducer is constructed and arranged to radiate first sound waves in a first direction in a first frequency range in response to an audio electrical signal on the input. A second electroacoustical transducer is constructed and arranged to radiate sound energy in a second direction in a second frequency range. A third electroacoustical transducer is constructed and arranged to radiate sound energy in a third direction within the second frequency range.

  • Patent number: 5181247
Abstract: A speaker system includes a left channel input and a right channel input for receiving left channel and right channel signals respectively, a left channel driver, a right channel driver, an (L-R) driver unit, and a (R-L) driver unit. The left channel driver is coupled to the left channel input, and the right channel driver is coupled to the right channel input. During a video mode of operation, the (L-R) driver unit and the (R-L) driver unit are each coupled to both the left channel input and the right channel input. The (L-R) driver unit and the (R-L) driver unit have structure arranged to passively differentially combine the signals on the inputs to provide (L-R) and (R-L) acoustic output signals respectively.

  • Patent number: 5027403
Abstract: A sound projection apparatus for a video display device having left and right speakers, first and second ambience speakers, and an amplifier having a right channel and left channel. In this system, connection of the left channel to a speaker produces a left signal; the right channel to a speaker produces a right signal; the left and right channels to ambience circuitry produces an ambience channel; the ambience channel to the positive input of the first ambience speaker produces a first ambience signal and the ambience channel to the negative input of the second ambience speaker produces a second ambience signal. The left and right speakers are forward facing, projecting sound directly from the television to a viewer. The first and second ambience speakers are side or rearward facing, projecting sound indirectly to the viewer. The projection apparatus may be formed as a single cohesive unit, within or near the television.
