Abstract: A system facilitates requests for proposals, or the solicitation of bids for contract work, by a property owner or their representative for work to be done. The system provides a public-facing user directory to aid in requesting bids from vendors. A question-and-answers feature about the scope during the bidding period minimizes the need for change orders after the project starts and avoids misunderstandings and loss of trust between vendors and customers. Bids are sealed until all bids are received, avoiding opportunities for price manipulation by sharing of bidding or financial data with other prospective bidders.
