  • Patent number: 5622925
Abstract: Heavy duty liquid detergent compositions containing an anionic surfactant component, fatty acid and a quaternary ammonium fabric-softening agent of the formula ##STR1## The anionic surfactant component comprises, by weight of the composition, from about 5% to 40% of alkyl polyethoxylate sulfates and no more than about 5% of alkyl benzene sulfonates. The compositions are substantially clear and isotropic, provide excellent cleaning of soils and provide softening through the wash and anti-static benefits. The compositions preferably also contain an ethoxylated nonionic surfactant, a detergent builder and enzymes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 8, 1995
Date of Patent: April 22, 1997
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: Francesco de Buzzaccarini, Timothy J. Farwick, Yueqian Zhen
  • Patent number: 5476608
Abstract: Liquid laundry detergent compositions containing anionic or nonionic surfactant, citric acid or a water-soluble salt thereof, proteolytic enzyme, cellulase, and a mixture of 1,2 propane diol and boric acid or its derivative. The compositions are prepared by adding the diol and boric acid before adding the citric acid/salt to the composition. This order of addition improves the stability of the cellulase.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 16, 1994
Date of Patent: December 19, 1995
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
