  • Patent number: 10154769
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for the attachment of brushes to the drive system of rotary floor scrubbing machines. In one embodiment, the apparatus provides for a scrubbing plate assembly suitable for attachment to the drive system of a rotary floor scrubbing machine. The scrubbing plate assembly has a scrubbing plate and an adapter plate. When the adapter plate is aligned and in contact with a scrubbing plate, the adapter plate locks to the scrubbing plate by axial movement of said adapter plate relative to said scrubbing plate.

  • Patent number: 8667219
Abstract: A method for optimizing locations of physical data accessed by one or more client applications interacting with a storage system, with the storage system comprising at least two redundancy groups having physical memory spaces and data bands. Each of the data bands corresponds to physical data stored on several of the physical memory spaces. A virtualized logical address space includes client data addresses utilizable by the one or more client applications. A storage controller is configured to map the client data addresses onto the data bands, such that a mapping is obtained, wherein the one or more client applications can access physical data corresponding to the data bands.

  • Patent number: 8402590
Abstract: A push broom head is provided having a substantially rigid base, leading edge, upper and lower surface, central vertical axis, plurality of rows of seats, and a plurality of tufts of bristles. The head includes a leading edge row(s) of tufts of a first type closest the leading edge and a plurality of rows of a second type. The length of the second type of tuft bristles is longer than the length of the first type and the number of rows of tufts of the second type exceeds the first type. The axis of each tuft forms an angle relative to the base's central vertical axis. Preferably, when not in contact with the sweeping surface, the angle of attack of the second type of bristles differs by row and/or the angle of the leading row of tufts exceeds 10 degrees in a forward direction relative to the central vertical axis.

  • Publication number: 20120278528
Abstract: A method and controller for implementing enhanced flash backed dynamic random access memory (DRAM) management, and a design structure on which the subject controller circuit resides are provided. An input/output adapter (IOA) includes at least one super capacitor, a data store (DS) dynamic random access memory (DRAM), a flash memory, a non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM), and a flash backed DRAM controller. Responsive to an adapter reset, Data Store DRAM testing including restoring a DRAM image from Flash to DRAM and testing of DRAM is performed. Mirroring of RAID configuration data and RAID parity update footprints between the NVRAM and DRAM is performed. Save of DRAM contents to the flash memory is controllably enabled when super capacitors have been sufficiently recharged and the flash memory erased.

  • Patent number: 5515574
Abstract: A noncylindrical telescoping handle. Noncylindrically shaped tube members, such as ergonomically designed substantially triangular shaped tubes, are slidably engaged within one another which allow the tubes to move only in a linear relationship with respect to one another. By preventing the tubular members from rotating relative to one another, the telescoping handle can be moved and locked into a plurality of alternate positions of varying lengths. A spring-snap button is provided in the inner tubular member whereby the snap button protrudes through an aperture in the outer member when the two structures come into alignment. Furthermore, an elongated opening is provided at the end of the outer tubular member providing an emergency stop to prevent the tube members from completely separating.
