  • Patent number: 9565592
Abstract: A primary station and at least one secondary station communicate on a downlink control channel in a network, wherein the primary station transmits an indication related to a resource allocated to one of the secondary stations in accordance with a semi persistent schedule, wherein at least two messages, which include at least part of the indication, are transmitted in one subframe.

  • Patent number: 9497777
Abstract: In UMTS WCDMA a new RACH-based uplink is being discussed. The request for uplink transmission resource is made using a mechanism based on the conventional RACH. The main difference from the conventional RACH is that the data transmission uses a high-speed uplink packet data channel, known as Enhanced Dedicated Channel (E-DCH), instead of a single short message associated directly with the RACH preamble. One proposed scheme for indicating the E-DCH resources to be used creates a link between the values of each of a group of multiple signatures sent on the AICH (to acknowledge the E-RACH access) and a specific set of E-DCH parameters defined in a table. We propose to signal the set of resources to be used independently from acknowledging the E-RACH access. One possible method is to transmit information in the unused portion of the AICH (corresponding to 1024 chips every slot) indicating the resource set.

  • Patent number: 9392620
Abstract: A system and method of a primary station giving access to a resource to a secondary station. The secondary station transmitting to the primary station an access request to a resource including a preamble for requesting access to the resource. Each resource is associated in a predetermined way to each preamble. The primary station's response to the access request is modified depending on whether the resource associated with the preamble is available. The primary station transmitting an acknowledgement indication of the access request and signaling independently from the transmission of the acknowledgement indication a set of resources to be used by the secondary station. The primary station's response to the preamble comprises only an acknowledgement when an associated resource is available and comprises an indication of a different resource when the associated resource is not available.

  • Publication number: 20160029288
Abstract: A radio communication system comprises a communication channel for the transmission of data packets from a primary station having a plurality of antennas to a secondary station having at least one antenna. The channel comprises a plurality of paths, and the primary station transmits a plurality of packets substantially simultaneously. Each of the plurality of packets is transmitted via a different subset of the plurality of paths, for example by arranging for each packet to be transmitted via a different antenna or antenna beam. The secondary station receives the plurality of data packets, determines whether each packet is received correctly and signals this determination (typically as an acknowledgement or a negative acknowledgement to the primary station for each of the plurality of packets. The signalling may be by any convenient means, for example transmitting each acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement via a different subset of available uplink paths.

  • Patent number: 9225484
Abstract: A method of interference coordination, base station and user equipment. The method comprises: precoding by a macro cell eNB the signals of the downlink control channel of scheduled macro cell UE by using pre-obtained precoded matrixes, such that the signal null space formed by precoding is pointed to pico cells and/or the characteristic value space of the signals is pointed to the macro cell UE. With such a method, almost all the interference caused by the PDCCH of the macro cell to the pico cell is eliminated, and the performances of the macro cell are not affected, solving the problem existed in the prior art; or improving the receiving performance of the macro cell UE, and further alleviating the interference of the macro cell on the pico cells.

  • Patent number: 9178600
Abstract: A packet data transmission system comprises primary stations (PS) having signal transmitting and receiving means and antennas (PA1 to PA4) for propagating downlink signals and receiving uplink signals and a plurality of secondary stations (SS) able to roam within the coverage areas of the primary stations. Each secondary station (SS1) has signal transmitting and receiving means, a predetermined number of antennas (SA1 to SA4), and means for monitoring its radio environment. Information about the radio environment is relayed as an uplink signal to the respective primary station which modifies its mode of transmission of packet data signals. The secondary station in response to the modified mode of transmission of the downlink signals adapts its receiver resources to process the packet data signals and effect cancellation of any interference.
