  • Patent number: 10180296
Abstract: A firearm is adapted to use linked ammunition, either as a stand-alone firearm or a kit for the firearm. A belt feed lever is actuated by a drive roller in communication with the firearm recoil assembly. The belt feed lever turns a vertical drive shaft. The drive shaft operates a lower pawl, the manipulation of which advances the next round of linked ammunition to a position above the feed ramp. The firearm feeds linked ammunition “upside down,” that is, with the links facing downward. A box mount is fitted in place of the standard box magazine when the firearm is used to fire linked ammunition, thereby providing a feed tray and feed follower. To convert back to the use of ammunition fed from magazines, the user need only remove the box mount and replace it with a traditional box magazine.

  • Patent number: 7779741
Abstract: A semi-automatic firing carbine anti-jamming cartridge loading system is provided wherein no feed lips or a portion of said feed lips are removed, wherein the cartridge to be loaded is fed to the carbine breech along a feed ramp. A bolt enclosing the firing pin includes a pivot plate mounted on the bolt nose, rotating about an axle. A recess formed in the bolt nose provides spacing for the pivot plate to rotate about said axle. If the firing pin protrudes through an aperture formed in the pivot plate, while the pivot plate is still in its collapsed state, then the weapon will jam by the firing pin hanging on the top part of a rim portion of the next loading round, thereby thwarting attempts at reconfiguring the weapon, that employs my novel system, to be re-converted as a fully-automatic weapon.

  • Patent number: 7562614
Abstract: A closed bolt system with a trigger assembly for converting an open bolt, blowback type submachine gun into a single firing carbine is provided. The closed bolt system with trigger assembly includes a tensioned trigger member supporting a tensioned disconnector system. A tensioned sear interacts with the disconnector system and a tensioned hammer. The hammer strikes a firing pin in the bolt when it is released from the sear. The blowback of the bolt, as a result of expanding gases from the exploding and exiting round, re-cocks the hammer by re-engaging the sear with the hammer and disengages the sear from the disconnector system. Only after releasing the trigger will the sear re-engage with the disconnector system and thereby permit another round to be fired. A receiver having a cavity encloses the bolt and prohibits a fully automatic bolt to be used therewith.
