    Abstract: The invention relates to a combination training pad and blocking shield for use in martial arts training. The pad and blocking shield is portable and has frontal and side strike zones which allow an athlete training in martial arts to spontaneously practice frontal and lateral kicks and punches on the shield while such shield is held by a partner as well as mid and high level attacks techniques, without concern for the safety of the partner.
