    Abstract: A mild liquid skin cleanser composition with improved lathering and rinsing characteristics, comprising: an alkyl ethoxylated sulfate anionic surfactant having an average degree of ethoxylation of at least about 2.0; an amphoteric surfactant selected from the group consisting of betaine surfactants, imidazoline surfactants, aminoalkanoate surfactants, and iminodialkanoate surfactants, and mixtures thereof; an N-acylamino acid surfactant, or salt thereof; a cationic cellulose ether derivative; from 0.2 parts to 2.0 parts by weight of a C8 to C20 fatty alcohol; and from 0.1 parts to 5 parts by weight of a water insoluble salt of C14-C22 fatty acid.
