  • Publication number: 20190114372
Abstract: A system and method for determining contacts names that may identify the same person. The system and method maintains one or more servers and one or more databases having contact records, wherein each contact record comprises one or more of a first name, middle name and a last name. The system and method selects a target contact record and determines a similarity score between the target contact record and one or more of the other contact records in the one or more databases. The system and method further displays one or more of the other contact records based, at least in part, on the similarity score.

  • Publication number: 20190114371
Abstract: A system and method for managing contact names that identify the same person. The system and method maintains one or more servers and one or more databases at least having contact records with names. The system and method determines names in the one or more databases that may identify the same person and selects some of the names that may identify the same person. The system and method further merges the selected names into a primary name, wherein the selected names become aliases of the primary name. The system and method further utilizes the aliases to find existing names in the one or more databases that match new names loaded into the one or more databases.

  • Publication number: 20160232632
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for receiving an e-Office Action communication from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), wherein the communication is associated with a USPTO customer number and a patent matter. The communication comprises a first USPTO defined code indicating that the USPTO has communicated a first action on the patent matter. Verifying that the customer number is associated with an account of an intellectual property docketing system. Verifying that the patent matter associated with the first action is also associated with the account. Generating a first docketing task associated with both the patent matter and the account, wherein the first docketing task provides a description of the first action. Displaying the first docketing task on a computing device of one or more users of the account.

  • Patent number: 5968161
Abstract: An integrated programmed logic circuit for performing complementary hardware and software based logic functions includes multiple programmed circuit portions. The portion programmed for performing the software based logic functions is programmably configured in a circuit configuration which includes and changes among multiple operation configuration states in accordance with its execution of its instructions. The portion programmed for performing the hardware based logic functions is programmably configured in a circuit configuration which remains in a single operation configuration state prior to, during and subsequent to its processing of data. Hence, the division of processing, i.e., hardware based and software based, can be designed as most appropriate for the particular application, e.g., more hardware based and less software based processing when speed is more important, and more software based and less hardware based processing when processing flexibility is more important.

  • Patent number: 5880725
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing the display of multiple windows in a computer user interface in an efficient manner. Two separate window areas are allocated in a display area. A first area is an overlapped window area where windows may overlap each other. A second area is a tiled window area where windows may not overlap each other. User interface controls are provided to allow the user to designate a displayed window as tiled or overlapped and the designated window is moved from area to area, accordingly. Windows in either area may be resized and repositioned, although with some restrictions in the tiled area. The computer system automatically adjusts window and area sizes within predefined limits.
