Abstract: A method for reducing the risk associated with reducing the cost of maintaining intellectual property rights for a first legal entity by transferring title in the intellectual property right with the grant back of non-exclusive royalty free license to use the invention there being a commitment from the second legal entity to maintain the intellectual property right enforceable, and the option for the first legal entity to regain title in the intellectual property right from the second legal entity to the first legal entity on payment of predetermined consideration. The second legal entity being otherwise free to utilise the intellectual property right for its own financial gain.

The telephone is adapted to use the information from one of the memory cards (to the exclusion of the other memory cards) in accordance with a predetermined priority allocation. The prioritization may be re-set automatically if a card or card reader is removed or inserted. Preferably the user may also modify the priorities, e.g. by menu selection.
