Abstract: Select Ring allows users of communication devices, such as cellular telephones, to designate which incoming calls may transmit voice, video, and/or text data via the device's loudspeaker and display screen while the phone is ringing and before the incoming call is accepted. Select Ring also allows users of communication devices to designate which incoming callers may automatically transmit to the user's phone and receive from the user's phone voice, video, and/or text data via the device's loudspeaker and display screen without requiring the user to manually accept the incoming call.
