Patent number: 8105006Abstract: This is a stacker cart useful to collect a paper stack in a paper-handling system. The stacker cart has movables so that it can be moved into and out of a housing in the system. At a top section of the stacker cart is a transfer plate that receives the paper stack after processing, finishing, or marking. This transfer plate and the stacker cart have on their lower surface movables that allow both easy moving of the slidable plate off the stacker cart and easy moving of the stacker cart from one location to another. The transfer plate has at least one hook that is connected to a rope or for moving the transfer plate to a second surface. The movables used in both the transfer plate and the stacker cart can be wheels, slides, or bearings.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2008Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Charles R Brewer, III, Thomas C Palumbo, Timothy Kelley, Gary A Kelpin

Publication number: 20060271717Abstract: A system and method for frame synchronization in multiple video processing unit (VPU) systems is described. In various embodiments, multiple VPUs cooperatively process frame data for display. According to embodiments, more than one VPU may not reside on a same card such that conventional synchronization methods are available. Frame data synchronization is accomplished in various embodiments by using semaphore mechanisms and by writing values to shared memory locations. For synchronization of execution among multiple VPUs operating on a same command buffer, execution of commands by one or more VPUs is stalled based on a semaphore value or a value in a shared memory location.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 27, 2005Publication date: November 30, 2006Inventors: Raja Koduri, Timothy Kelley, Dominik Behr

Publication number: 20060267992Abstract: A system and method for applying non-homogeneous properties to multiple video processing units (VPUs) in a multiple VPU system are described. Respective VPUs in the system cooperate to produce a frame to be displayed. In various embodiments, data output by different VPUs in the system is combined, or merged, or composited to produce a frame to be displayed. In load balancing modes, each VPU in the system performs different tasks as part of rendering a same frame, and therefore typically executes different commands. In various embodiments, efficiency of the system is enhanced by forming a single command buffer for execution by all of the VPUs in the system even though each VPU may have a different set of commands to execute in the command buffer.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 27, 2005Publication date: November 30, 2006Inventors: Timothy Kelley, Jonathan Campbell, David Gotwalt

Publication number: 20060225354Abstract: A dual function lock, a tilt latch assembly, and tilt latch for use on a hung or double hung window are provided. The lock includes a base, a handle, and a tilt latch actuating mechanism. The tilt latch assembly includes a lock, left and right latches, and an extensible member. The tilt latch actuating mechanism is adapted to receive the extensible member and has a null zone between locked and unlocked positions of the handle. In the null zone, no substantial movement of the extensible member as the handle is rotated from the locked to unlocked positions. The tilt latch actuating mechanism causes the extensible member to move in a direction toward the lock as the handle is rotated from the unlocked position to a tilt position.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2006Publication date: October 12, 2006Inventors: Timothy Kelley, David Bogenhagen

Patent number: 6200341Abstract: A mechanical heart valve assembly includes an orifice coupled with a stiffening ring and sewing cuff by a lock wire. The lock wire is made from a super-elastic material, e.g., a nickel-titanium alloy, and pre-formed into a C-shape. The lock wire is inserted between the orifice and stiffening ring by piercing the sewing cuff that surrounds the ring, and passing the lock wire into a window in the stiffening ring and into the aligned lock wire grooves on the stiffening ring and orifice. Once seated in the lock wire grooves, the lock wire retains its C-shape, providing a secure coupling between the orifice and stiffening ring.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 1998Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: Sulzer Carbomedics Inc.Inventors: Melanie E. Patent number: 5841426Abstract: A foot operated mouse for controlling a computer, providing similar functions as a conventional hand operated mouse. The novel foot operated mouse has a base which rests on a horizontal pad or surface, and a separate platform for supporting the foot. A ball for generating positional signals based upon an x-and-y coordinate grid is fixed to the base. The foot platform is attached to the ball and can wobble, or simultaneously rotate and incline, thereon. Switch operators corresponding to conventional finger operated control buttons of a conventional hand operated mouse are provided. Preferably, these switch operators are hinged to the foot platform, and incline when depressed. In an alternative embodiment, the foot platform and switch operators are integral. In the latter embodiment, switch operation results from contact of the platform with the base. Preferably, the upper surface of the platform is inclined, thereby establishing a toe position and a heel position.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1996Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Inventors: Dean Dodson, Timothy Kelley
