  • Publication number: 20040102928
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to a method, system, and storage medium for building and maintaining a remote monitoring and diagnostics knowledge base via an alert fusion system. The method comprises receiving at least one alert relating to a condition detected on field equipment being remotely monitored. The method further comprises processing the alert which includes evaluating a severity level, and if a severity threshold is reached, generating a summary alert. The summary alert is transmitted to an end user at a remote client. The invention also includes a system and a storage medium for implementing the invention.

  • Publication number: 20040103121
Abstract: A method of integrating case based reasoning data and FMECA data for product life cycle support. The method comprises creating an access path to case based data using a FMECA classification. The creating includes receiving a case based record including heading data. The heading data includes data elements and the data elements are correlated with data fields in a FMECA database. The FMECA database is searched for an entry that includes one or more of the data elements. The creating further includes determining if the entry should include a reference to the case based record. A new pointer to the case based record is inserted if the determining results in finding that the entry should include a reference to the case based record. The method for integrating case based reasoning data and FMECA data further comprises receiving a request from a user to access the case based data. The case based data is accessed via the FMECA database using the access path in response to the request.

  • Patent number: 6726826
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor component includes depositing a first electrically conductive layer (675) over a substrate (270), forming a patterned plating mask (673) over the first electrically conductive layer, coupling a first plating electrode (250) to the first electrically conductive layer without puncturing the plating mask, and plating a second electrically conductive layer onto portions of the first electrically conductive layer. A plating tool for the manufacturing method includes an inner weir (220) located within an outer weir (210), an elastic member (230) over a rim (211) of the outer weir, a pressure ring (240) located over the rim of the outer weir and the elastic member, and a plurality of cathode contacts (250, 251, 252, 253) located between the pressure ring and the outer weir. The substrate is positioned between the elastic member and the pressure ring.

  • Publication number: 20020133391
Abstract: A method and system for on-line marketing to a remote user is disclosed. The method can include performing the following procedures during a session with the user: (i) using a decision rule set to select either one of a plurality of first signals or one of a plurality of second signals, for sending to the display, the one of the plurality of second signals being to solicit information about the user; (ii) measuring a response of the user to the previously selected signal; and (iii) updating the decision rule set in accordance with a probability. The method is capable of selecting a display for the user depending on, for example, a demographic category of the user or on past actions of the user.

  • Patent number: 6005175
Abstract: A guitar fulcrum is described herein which is used as an elbow rest for the elbow of a right or a left arm of a guitar player when playing a guitar. A standard guitar is designed for a person having an average height of 5 feet 10 inches. The fulcrum is designed for guitar players having a height greater than 5 feet 10 inches and/or with longer forearms and longer hands than people of this height. The guitar fulcrum allows for the proper placement of the player's fingers on the guitar strings adjacent a sweet spot above the sound hole of the guitar. Also, the guitar fulcrum positions the wrist lower than the elbow in a passive position. The passive position of the wrist relieves muscular tension produced in the forearm when having to hold up the hand in an active position. The guitar fulcrum includes an ergonomically designed elbow pad adapted for comfortably engaging a portion of the user's elbow. The elbow pad is pivotly mounted on upper ends of a pair of adjustable struts.
