  • Publication number: 20210086411
Abstract: An interior trim panel for a vehicle includes a leather layer defining a feature having a radius of less than five millimeters, and a backing layer adhered to the leather layer and providing a support structure for the leather layer. A method of forming the interior trim panel includes clamping the leather layer in a frame to securely fix the edges of the leather layer, positioning the leather layer between compression mold dies defining a complementary surface having a feature with a radius of less than five millimeters, and compressing the leather layer between the dies.

  • Publication number: 20200186181
Abstract: A wireless charging phone retention assembly includes a housing having a phone contact charging surface positioned in a cavity of the housing, the cavity having an upwardly directed opening. A wheel-support frame is rotatably connected to the housing and rotates into and at least partially out of the cavity. A wheel is rotatably connected to the wheel-support housing. A resilient material defines a wheel outer surface of the wheel. When a wireless phone is received in the cavity in a downward direction the wireless phone contacts the resilient material and thereby rotates and displaces the wheel, with the wireless phone being retained against the charging surface by contact with the wheel.

  • Patent number: 7903180
Abstract: A mountable sliding video display assembly is provided for a vehicle in which the longitudinal position of the video display screen unit can be adjusted in the vehicle. The video display screen unit may be mounted behind the last row of occupants in a vehicle. An occupant may slide the video display screen unit to and fro in front of him/her to a comfortable viewing distance. A method for pivoting the video display screen unit is also provided so that the video display screen unit, in addition to longitudinal movement, can be rotated from a stowed position to a display position.

  • Patent number: 4861208
Abstract: The present invention is a fastening assembly for securing a door trim panel to a door body inner panel. The assembly includes a male member having a head portion adapted to be removably secured to a slot in the door trim panel. The male member has a cylindrical portion having a plurality of barbs spaced longitudinally along the cylindrical portion. The assembly also includes a female member having means for removably securing the female member to the door body inner panel. The female member has a cylindrical portion with a longitudinal axis and a pocket formed therein along the longitudinal axis. The pocket includes a means for engaging a groove between a pair of adjacent barbs on the male member for adjusting the door trim panel relative to the door body inner panel.
