  • Patent number: 7980415
Abstract: An apparatus includes an elongate member having opposed ends, and identical first and second grip units. The first grip unit is joined to the second grip unit to form a gripping member that circumscribes a section of the elongate member between the opposed ends of the elongate member. Clip tabs are formed in the first and second grip units, respectively, which extend past the elongate member and snap into corresponding openings in the respective first and second grip units in response to movement of the first grip unit in a direction toward the second grip unit and that is normal with respect to the second grip unit and to the elongate member.

  • Patent number: 7214136
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for practicing a golf swing. The apparatus includes a rotationally mounted golf ball, the movement of which is slowed by movement of a piston against a spring and through a liquid. A valve mechanism incorporated in the apparatus facilitates movement of the piston in one direction and retards movement of the piston in an opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 6892469
Abstract: A measurement marking mechanism that can be coupled to a tape measure includes a case and a marker. The marker is coupled to the case and is moveable. When the case is coupled to the tape measure, the marker is moveable relative to the tape measure in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the direction that the measurement tape is extracted from the tape measure, and in a plane that substantially parallel with, or substantially perpendicular to, the plane that the measurement tape is extracted from the tape measure. The marking mechanism may also be formed as part of a tape measure during the manufacturing process.

  • Patent number: 6851206
Abstract: A method and apparatus for collecting and processing granular material admixes granular material with a fluid to produce a slurry and then removes and processes the slurry. The apparatus enables fluid flowing into the apparatus to be directed substantially simultaneously between a first conduit for admixing granular material with the fluid to produce a slurry and a second conduit for producing suction to remove the slurry.

  • Patent number: 6216522
Abstract: A tool for installing a turn vane within air conditioning duct work includes an octagonal shaft having a cutting head at an end thereof. The cutting head includes a pair of spaced parallel outer blades each having a downwardly angled cutting surface. Disposed between the outer blades is an oppositely facing inner blade likewise having a downwardly sloping cutting surface. A second embodiment includes a shaft adapted to be used with an air driven hammer. When force is applied to the shaft with either a conventional or air driven hammer, oppositely directed, severed portions are created on the turn vane thereby securing it to a turn vane rail.
