  • Publication number: 20240082498
Abstract: A medication delivery device including a device body and a dose setting component coupled to the device body. Component is rotatable relative to the device body in relation to an amount of a set or delivered dose. An annular sensed element, such as a metal or magnetic ring, is positioned on a proximal surface of the dose setting component. A carrier secures the sensed element to the dose setting component. The carrier includes a proximal overlapping support that is contactable against the sensed element opposite the proximal surface of the dose setting component. The carrier is configured to axially and rotationally fix the sensed element to the dose setting component. The device may include a dose detection system operable with the sensed element.

  • Publication number: 20230398299
Abstract: A therapeutic agent delivery system includes a therapeutic agent delivery assembly carried by a housing. The therapeutic agent delivery assembly includes a chamber including a first passageway, a therapeutic agent carried in the first passageway, and a needle in communication with the first passageway. The therapeutic agent delivery assembly is translatable relative to the housing from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration. In the deployed configuration the needle at least partially extends distally from the distal end portion of the housing. The therapeutic agent delivery assembly is translatable relative to the housing from the deployed configuration to a retracted configuration. In the retracted configuration the needle is disposed proximally relative to the distal end portion of the housing. A drive mechanism translates the therapeutic agent delivery assembly from the stowed configuration to the deployed configuration and from the deployed configuration to the retracted configuration.

  • Publication number: 20210330888
Abstract: Dose detection systems for medication delivery devices are described. One is a module for removable attachment to a dose button of a medication delivery device. A device with a dose detection system is also disclosed. The module includes a processor and at least one measurement sensor operably coupled to the processor and configured to detect the positon of a sensed component within the delivery device. Medication identification system may also be provided with an identification sensor and a light guide member.

  • Patent number: 11071831
Abstract: Dose detection systems for medication delivery devices are described. One is a module for removable attachment to a dose button of a medication delivery device. A device with a dose detection system is also disclosed. The module includes a processor and a plurality of magnetic sensors, such as, for example, five or six sensors, operably coupled to the processor and configured to detect the positon of a rotating bipolar magnetic ring within the delivery device. Medication identification system may also be provided.
