Abstract: Hydrophilic, self-cleaning coating compositions and methods to make and use the compositions are disclosed. The coatings comprise perlite and/or expanded perlite that are activated with hydrophilic agents. The perlites when incorporated in paints provide hydrophilic, self-cleaning and/or biocidal property to the coating.

Abstract: Compositions and methods for changing a property of a coating are provided. The coating includes a dynamic material configured to be reversibly convertible between a hydrophobic state and a hydrophilic state, wherein transition between the hydrophilic state to the hydrophobic state occurs in an environment dependent manner. The coating also includes an environment altering material configured to alter the hydrophobic or hydrophilic state of the dynamic material.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for systems, methods and devices effective to remove information from a network such as the Internet. In some examples, a device may include a memory including instructions and a processor configured in communication with the memory. The processor may be configured effective to receive user information relating to a user and search the network using the user information. In response to the search, the processor may find additional information relating to the user stored in the network. The processor may receive a first request to remove particular information from the network. The particular information may be part of the additional information and the particular information may be removable by a second user. The processor may send a second request to remove the particular information from the network.

Abstract: Ice phobic coatings and substrates and methods of making and using them are described. Some embodiments provide for an ice-phobic coating including a hydrophobic entity bonded to a hydrophilic moiety, wherein the hydrophilic moiety is capable of lowering a freezing point of water. Some embodiments provide for an ice-phobic article including a substrate having the ice-phobic coating applied on the substrate. In some embodiments, a method of making an ice-phobic coating may include bonding the hydrophobic entity with the hydrophilic moiety. In some embodiments, a method of making an ice-phobic article includes applying the ice-phobic coating to a substrate. Some embodiments also provide for a kit for making an ice-phobic article. Such ice-phobic coatings may be used to coat or impregnate winter equipment, cloth, shoes, sporting equipment, road signs, traffic lights, sidewalks, aircrafts, vehicles, or the like.

Abstract: Methods and systems for collecting recyclables for recycling are disclosed. A collector may receive a collection request for recyclables for a consumer having an associated recycling account. The recycling account may include an address for the consumer. A determination as to whether an agent for the collector is within a threshold distance of the address may be made. The collector may fulfill the collection request in response to the agent for the collector being within the threshold distance of the address.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for identifying context associated with received content and automatically forwarding the content to an associated communication network for posting. In some examples, a user may create content for posting to one or more communication networks and send the content over a network for posting to a first communication network. Upon receipt of the content for posting, the first communication network may identify a context of the received content and may associate the context with a second communication network based on a set of content forwarding rules. The first communication network may automatically forward the received content to the associated second communication network for posting at the second communication network. Additionally, a third party entity may be configured to monitor content received at a first communication network, identify a context of the received content, and automatically forward the received content to the associated second communication network for posting.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for building a profile for a person based on an asserted interest and actual participation of the person in activities associated with the asserted interest. An online event such as a social networking event involving the person online may be a reflection of either their aspirational self or their real self. In some examples, a hypothesis may be generated as to whether it is likely to be aspirational or real. The hypothesis may be proven or disproven by identifying activities actually participated in by the person, in other words, comparing their actions and/or behavior in the physical and/or virtual world with what they assert about themselves in the virtual world. The profiles for the aspirational and real personas may be accurately constructed based on the hypothesis and used, for example, in targeted marketing.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for verifying the group nature of a consumer request to provide a group incentive. In some examples, a consumer may purchase goods and services from a merchant over a network, and may request to take advantage of a group incentive associated with an established group. The merchant may verify that the consumer is a member of the established group before allowing the consumer to receive or use the group incentive. Upon receiving the request associated with the group incentive, the merchant may identify attributes of the consumer and/or the group the consumer claims to belong to. If the attributes match a commonality criterion, the incentive may be authorized. Additionally, the merchant may require a physical appearance of the consumer along with other group members in order to utilize the group incentive.
